i follow alot of Iain's threads as i have learned a far whack of knowledge from him! i cant remember how many posts of his where you have popped up to challange his replys!, and everytime you have visited his profile so your looking for his posts!, its not rocket science to see that?

plus iains words not mine "i love being second guesed all the time!"

it clear to all that see's it! also getting very boring!

i some how feel that if it is the head gaskets it'll still be a broken water pump

I some how feel that you have no faith in my technical abilities maybe due to my lack of Subaru training, I have nothing to prove to you or anyone else for that matter, I am not that low that if it were the head gasket that I would say it was the water pump, many members on here know and trust me why would I spoil that and what would that prove? I love nothing more than helping people out on here (where I can) and all I get from you yet again is doubt .

You have no idea who I am or what my abilities are so what is your problem?

Just out of interest what would the symptoms of a water pump failure be, would the symptoms be any different than I have described?

and i do know you ian and i know what you do for a job but that doesn't make you the be all and end all of subaru gurus, you may be able to change the engine on a plane quicker than me and i will hold my hands up and say well done but you need to learn to listen to another point of view about a problem.

as soon as someone puts up a view thats different or doesn't agree with your suggestions your goon squad jump in and start the mud throwing and you get all defensive and a***y with them,

your view isn't always the correct one just as mine isn't yet you seem to think yours is, i quite like it when we get going about a problem and have different views on it as i admit you do talk more sense than most on here.

Whatever happened to the burying of the hatchet mentioned in a previous post ?

The 1 - instead of all of these mentions that you know who certain people are & threats like 'You never know who's working on your car ' are just plain silly & do you no favours.

I'm sure everybody would like to move forward from this, come on we're all members here for the love of a particular type of car.

Fact - Water Pumps do go on Impreza's there was one on here about a month ago up for sale with just such a problem, I also know an owner whoose car's water pump failed.

If its a head gasket I'm sure the findings will be posted on here to let anybody else in such a situation know, that's how forums work.

Thats funny because I have no idea who you are, should I, dare I ask who you are?

You seem to have a huge issue with the whose right and whose wrong thing, I will find out tomorrow. I dont really care as it is all part of the learning process.

I am no Subaru guru (although I have been called this by others) I have just taken an interest in the mechanics of the car, which is well within my capabilities, I keep and maintain two of my own and have no issues to date.

I am glad that you see that not everything I say is tripe.

i have never felt the need to ask why people write certain things on here until i have to read a reply from "the 1", I'm not out to get anyone at all its just from an outsiders point of view it comes across very pathetic!, what have i got to prove? I'm a viewer willing to learn for Christ sake.

i have to stay quiet from now on though as I'm being called a goon, fighting peoples corner and mud throwing, where as in the real world all I'm actually doing is stating the fact that someone is second guessing 1 person constantly, and from my point of view it must be getting annoying, if my points are wrong then i apologize.

Then you must be from Cotswolds Subaru then? Because that is the only other place my car has ever been for work.
