£10,000 To Spend - What Would You Buy?

Hi All,

Just gonna spend £10k on a car as my company one will be going back soon, was wondering what you would buy, and if you had seen any adverts for a car that matched your suggestions? Looking for something sporty, maybe a 2-seater, convertible maybe - just something a wee bit different.

Cheers

Lotus elise!

Great mpg on normal driving and also a cheap track day toy as there are not heavy so good on brakes and tyres.

Hey,

Westfield would be a hoot, but for most day usage - a smidge impractical me thinks!!! The TVR is one on my wish list - apart from the MPG - and reliability for everyday use.

go for a s1 elise my mate has one and its unbeleivable and you can use it for everyday use. bit hairy in the wet though :ohttp://www.pistonheads.com/sales/987526.htm

Hi Fella,

I do like the Elise, but I think it would have to be an S2 to keep the resale value up in a year or so when I sell it again, found afew S2's in pistonheads and auto trader that are nice.

Cheers for the response fella.

Hi Kev,

The XKR me likes very much, had a thought about one a few months ago, but never done anything about it - may have to enquire about this little minx!!!

Cheers

Gary

certainly seems plenty car for the money, i remember being in my old boss's XK8 when they were first out, nice car but it did feel a bit claustrophobic, the side windows seems very small. Although i did get the same feeling in my sisters new mini :o

For just a few k more this'll be my next mode of transport :lol:http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1005250.htm

Buy a "gay 5" mk2.5 and keep the change if ya ask me . Best legal fun for hooning about sideways, not that I would ever condone such an act.

The TVR, lotus and westie would be a great also.

I assume the porker is a no go now?

Have you been smoking mushrooms !!

Speaking of mushrooms ......

This little beauty fits all your demands !!

Ps, i would go with the/a Westie :o

And the prize for the worst suggestion goes to............................................

Now when I said 2 seats, a covertible and something different - I should have included I didn't want to look a complete fanny - or hairdresser on the cheap!!!

Cheers
