Eep! I'm in the middle of ressurecting a 1996 Ka2 as a every day car to keep the crappy miles off the scoob.. Seemed like a good idea until putting the front suspension back together yesterday and realising there's not much holdign it in! It "appears" as though the top strut mount moves around a bit when you turn the wheel! I "think" that's the way it supposed to be but seems bloody dangerous! Need to have a look at another Ka just to confirm!

They are only designed to move about minimally, so if it moves a lot, then the top strut mount needs renewed - it's a common fail item on MOT's.

It's probably normal then.. It doesn't move much, just a tiny bit... Just more used to struts being pretty secure.. Had a look around a scrappy's today at other cars and it seems a few manufacturers now use that method! Seems iffy to me...

How's the running coming on Billy? Get it run in right and all the nice bits should make it right, but please get rid of the LED lights under the car!

Yeah, I don't just do wheels studs, Defi's and Mot's

Billy needed a less expensive option (I would never call it cheap), but still made a few choice mods to help aid longevity hopefully.
