dram300 Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 ... is finding all the dents and scratches from over the winter Some TWUNT has smacked into my door in a EK car park leaving a nice dent and scuff for me to pull out. Same thing happened to my father in Bothwell last year. Except a nice old woman left her contact details on his windshield and offered to pay for the repairs. If only that woman from Bothwell lived in EK ...
dan_jess Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 Annoying isnt it. People need to take more care. Ive got a few door dings on the P1, to be expected i suppose as the car has just turned 9 years old (scary thought) but annoys me and will need to get them sorted out.

Now telling myself it was a little lass or lad letting themselves out of mum or dads car. They wouldn't know any better. Don't feel as angry now.

I do that all the time. Park over two spaces. People might not like it but I don't want my car damaged by idiots I either do that or park in a deserted part of the car park but the girlfriend isnt impressed with the walk
thewelsho Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 Yes, I know what you mean; you lose heart in the car. Nevermind though, my car is in getting the rear-end dunt sorted out and for another £150, they are going to take all the carpark dings out too! Roll on Tuesday!
Wagon_Mark Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 Same story with mines, a ding or two on the doors. First real going over after the winter then having a good look in the sun is horrible. Especially with the black paint..
scouk Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 In the middle of giving mine a good clean just now. and the amount of bloody chips that's appeared all over the car is criminal! No additional dings though!
C_WRX Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 Argh tell me about it !!! Rear bumper getting done over the weekend (my own fault!), the front bumper getting done next week (stone chips galore and couple bad scratches) and I need to organise someone to come and take out the 3 (that I can find) dents around the car ! The bonnet also needs tidied up of all the tiny stone chips but I'll touch up and polish myself once I have good use of both hands . I tend to pick and choose what I park next to. Avoid people carriers and old/abused looking cars - try get next to presitge/well looked after cars. Either than or park a little away. Saw someone in the row in front open their door battering it against the car next to it, and then turn round with their suitcase..sorry handbag and run that along the door also ! Didn't even bat an eyelid at it. Must've marked the door.

Until you return to the car and find a 'W' reg fiat Bravo that aint seen a sponge since the millenium parked close enough that Twiggy would find it hard getting out of the door. Agree with the above park far away AND over 2 spaces
paul555sti Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 For me its knowing its going to get dirty again and knowing i will have to wash the bloody thing again.
kennyuk300 Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 On the parking note, was at work today walking down Howard Street in Glasgow with my work mate, going to drop some tools off, saw a girl trying to reverse park her little kia picanto into a parking space. However she made a complete a**e of it scraping the car in front ,guy sitting in the back of the car got out to inspect the damage then he got back in the car to drive further up to park not leaving any details .I wrote down the details and gave them to some policemen who were sitting in a van in St Enoch Square, best of it was the girl was still in the car when i walked round to the square.I for one would not be very happy to come back to my car and see damage and no note of someones details kenny
