yea its been on the go a couple of years now IIRC, there`s a very limited ammount of garages stock it though and it is hooring expensive, much much cheaper with a splash of methanol TBH :rotfl:

most of us run mix fuel has a higher octane rating :rotfl:

Sorry to but in on the post here but i just saw that a drum of methanol is around £60 mark for 5 us gallons how many tanks do you get from it and what mix do you put in ?? :rotfl:

Saab claim a 20% increase in BHP and 16% torque on their vehicles running E85, would like to see independent evidence of those claims.

There was supposed to be one in Livvy, but it isn't there, the other one is in Johnstone I think. You'll easily achieve those claims above on our engines with 100% E85, my brothers Spec C makes 5% + bhp/torque extra on only a 20% mix. With it being oxygenated it also helps with spool up. With 100% you'll easily achieve the figures above. I plan to expirement with different mixes in my car, hopefully it wil be more widespread in the future. The only thing is it can be tricky mapping with 100 E85 on the road as you can very easily go well past MBT on this fuel
