sti_steve Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 Found this on another Forum and thought it would be of interest. Designed for use on track days and the like is the new 102 RON fuel from BP's Ultimate range. http://www.bp.com/genericsection.do?catego...ntentId=7017179 Would your car need to be mapped on the stuff to get the benifits? Only one place that is stocking the fuel just now is; Forthview 10 Builyeon Road, South Queensferry, West Lothian, EH30 9YJ
RA Dunk Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 yea its been on the go a couple of years now IIRC, there`s a very limited ammount of garages stock it though and it is hooring expensive, much much cheaper with a splash of methanol TBH

scoob fae ork Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 Sorry to but in on the post here but i just saw that a drum of methanol is around £60 mark for 5 us gallons how many tanks do you get from it and what mix do you put in ??
P1_Paul Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 Forget BP 102, I wish I lived in Dundee, I'd be running 100% E85.

Regards ScottyB There was supposed to be one in Livvy, but it isn't there, the other one is in Johnstone I think. You'll easily achieve those claims above on our engines with 100% E85, my brothers Spec C makes 5% + bhp/torque extra on only a 20% mix. With it being oxygenated it also helps with spool up. With 100% you'll easily achieve the figures above. I plan to expirement with different mixes in my car, hopefully it wil be more widespread in the future. The only thing is it can be tricky mapping with 100 E85 on the road as you can very easily go well past MBT on this fuel Edited April 8, 2009 by P1_Paul
