Guest greegsy Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 I headed down to charterhall yesterday to the rally for a couple of hours and while down there discovered a screw in my nsr tyre unfortunately on the sidewall. The car has only covered 7000 miles! I got home ok with the screw still in the tyre dodgy I know but didn't fancy travelling all the way back up from just outside duns to edinburgh with the space saver on. The tyres are the ones fitted from new and are marked Pirelli P Zero. Today I went to my local tyre place and he could not find this tyre listed as most p zero's are marked either rosso, nero, asimmetrico, direzionale etc but mine are just marked pirelli p zero with small lettering "MO." Turns out MO means mercedes original equipment(?) and are £189 a corner!! Oh and in the process of fitting my new tyre the w$nker has taken a chunk of paint off my wheel. Noticed this when I got home and washed all the gunk off my wheel. Went straight back up but have to wait until manager is back in tomorrow - not very happy!! Ended up buying a p zero rosso. Similarish tread pattern and £125 a corner too. Just wondering if any other GB270 owner has these MO tyres fitted to their's? Gregor

Gregor Think mine were that as well but i went for the same as you, cos tread looks diff, got them from kwik fit about a month ago. Although after i noticed marks on my wheels as well not sure if this was the guy that fitted the tyres fault tho. Cos it looked more like a bubble type chip that doesn't look like would have came from the machine. Going to see if they can get done under warrenty when i get my next service cos i don't think it's rite. Tyres are holding up fine as well!!! done about 2000 miles on them.

wee1s Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 I had the MO (Mercedes Original) info confirmed to me when I bought a new pzero for my GB270 wagon from Jim Dixon tyres in Cumbernauld (tel 01236 720 205) can't remember the exact price but was a good bit cheaper than £189 John
