thefastone Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 I though that was an April fool there for a second! If you going via Aberdeen also, there might be 99 at tesco at huntly, but I've not been through there for a very long time, so someone might be able to advise better...
pmacFTO Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 You can actually check on the Shell website - stick in an area or town and it will tell you where you can get V-Power. btw - my car is mapped for V-Power but can I use the Tesco/BP 99 RON? Or is any 99 RON ok - i.e Jet stations etc?
scouk Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 btw - my car is mapped for V-Power but can I use the Tesco/BP 99 RON? Or is any 99 RON ok - i.e Jet stations etc? Assuming there no false advertising you should be okay with any 99ron rated fuel.. However there was a recent thread on here which decided that V-Power is the one to stick with.. although other high octane fuels were cheaper and and perhaps didn't do any harm to the car.. THe general concensus is that the Shell stuff felt sharper with a bit more kick than the others.. FYI - Update on Local Fuels.. Apparently the prices have started goign up again after 1st April.. But Filled up at keith this afternoon, 97.9p !
sti_steve Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 Have they all not gone up by 2p/litre? 95.9p at Shell in Edinburgh (V power)
scouk Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 Yep.. was 95.9p a couple weeks ago.. Sneaky Budget increase which went more or less un-noticed at the start of april
