Maxxed_Ross Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 Just noticed that StrikE has a very cool little Scottish Scoobies Supporter badge under his name... how does one go about getting one of them? Coz it's well cool!
Richie Cross Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 (edited) Yeah, if you're already a member, go to manage membership and there should be a drop down for the Scottish Scoobies. If not, a quick fault thing to Andy and he'll sort it. Just noticed you're not a member....pretty positive you have to become one first. Edited March 27, 2009 by Richie Cross

scoob fae ork Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 I just got my Scottish Scoobies Supporters badge today . Just figured out how to do it
mystery machine Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 There IS a way to get hold of one of these badges, even if you're not a fully-paid SIDC member... ...but I'm no' so sure you'd want to know about it - I got mine six weeks ago and I'm still walking funny
jonboywrx Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 So you have to pay £10 just to get badge under your name??? Or is there other benefits?? jon
Richie Cross Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 (edited) So you have to pay £10 just to get badge under your name???Or is there other benefits?? jon Er.....just to get the badge. scouk Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 Er.....just to get the badge. And a warm fuzzy feeling inside for supporting the club
Richie Cross Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 And a warm fuzzy feeling inside for supporting the club Exactly. That was my thinking. It's only a tenner
RA Dunk Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 dosent the money go to charity or something though?
jamesm Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 Was there not a discussion at Santa Cruise that not a penny of this has been seen? I might be wrong?
Maxxed_Ross Posted March 27, 2009 Author Posted March 27, 2009 Big Ross North Sea Tiger, get yer money oot I can't justify £35 for a stack of things that are no use to me other than a few badges... and I already have some of those... plus another £10 just for a badge! is it just me or has everyone gone crazy?
jonboywrx Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 Ive paid for my membership but with not having a job at the minute i cant afford/justifying spending a tenner on just a badge! Fuzzy feeling or not!! lol Maybe when i get a job ill support and get the badge if its going to charity and all that!
paul555sti Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 Got to agree with most of the above, i paid my membership to get the benefits that came with it. It has pretty much paid for it self with the discounts that it gets me but not sure why anyone would pay a tenner for a badge under their name.
micra_wrc Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 Was there not a discussion at Santa Cruise that not a penny of this has been seen? I might be wrong? yes the original plan was that the £10 paid for being a Scottish Scoobies Supporter will be released by Phil back into the region for the Santa Cruise runs at Christmas. believe that Ally tried to get this done for Glasgow's Santa Cruise 08 but it didnt happen. i think that we should try and get this sorted for 2009, as that money has been designed for us (ie Scottish Scoobies) to use for charitable causes. Perhaps one of the ROs can follow this up and see how much money is in the pot so far...
StrikE Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 Doesnt cost that much tbh and as said above its only a tenner, nothing really. Being a paid member of the SIDC gets loads of benefits, discounts, true grip mag Plus i like warm fuzzy feelings
