shiralee Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 (edited) O come on Shiralee, He never, 1. Turns up at meets and buy all the drinks 2. He never organize any events. 3. When was the last time he lead a tunnel run. 4. Has he ever helped a club member. 5. Never given away CD's 6. And the last straw is HE LIKES MADNESS which means he's got to be the man for the role But thats whats this thread is about...everyone has their faults( granted some more than others-if i can ignore and muuter to myself in my own company away from involved parties......anyone can...lol) ........... and Granbys dont interfere with his organising skills at least Edited January 9, 2009 by Shiralee

deani_age Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 Comments / Suggestions from some of the more mature members (those over Five Years Old) would make a change.
kaan_ors Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 (edited) I didn't realise there was so much bad blood in the club. Anyway, I'm not interested in getting involved in any of it but just want to say that Ian has always welcomed me to meets and keeps in touch so I think he is the ideal man for the job and most importantly......he has a wagon! Ps. it would be rude of me not to thank Pele also for her commitment to the club. Edited January 10, 2009 by Still grinning!!!
granby Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 I wouldn't say it's bad blood mate more members have different views on certain things and have expressed them, hopefully we can put that behind us now and carry on having fun as a club

I read the Kent Scoobies domain posts after this one and realised what had happened. Oh well, as the wagon squadron might say "onwards and upwards". Edited January 10, 2009 by Still grinning!!!

dunks Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 If no one objects i would like to propose:1. Granby 2. Ian Granby 3. Neil Dunks Cheers Dean but no thanks mate
daniel Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 I think Granby is the man for the job, no pressure tho'
HOL Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 I also think Granby would do the job proud. As would Jay in my opinion.... It takes time (a lot of time - and 50% usually wasted effort) to organise large meetings and a thick skin for when some people winge about the most stupid and minute things. - Ask Phil or Tiny. Not everyone would have the patience. I think Pele deserves some gratitued for doing it for so long. One of her Legacies (Subaru pun not intended) is this very forum, which would not be here if KS had not struck a deal with the SIDC.

Couldn't agree more, cant have been an easy job for anyone, family commitments or not, Thanks Pele for making KS what it is today, every meet we have attended you have been the friendly face there, our first outings to Combe you were the one that made us feel part of it, Shame it has come to this, hope you enjoy a stress free retirement from KS and hope to see you at many more meets.
