Was your Aubergine Cossie a Limited Edition Monte Carlo per chance? Always remember the Green one with the Irish plate (GAZ I think) and big wheels and brakes and always sat with J20NOV. While we are reminiscing did anyone on here own an ex Fraser Anderson silver Prodrive (WR Sport) Saloon demo S20SUB which had a Racewall Cowdenbeath sunstrip?

Nah m8,my Cossies, aubergine one had K4GAV on it,my auralis blue P941WKS.I also had a silver Prodrive WR Sport car with S55GAV on it.

The GAZ340 was Gary Walkers now on an M3CSL.J20 NOV was owned by Alfie(what ever happened to the nova)and his brother had a minted cavy turbo.

Wee Hector also had a Green 'M plated ecossie, then an evo6 RS.All the Falkirk cars used to convoy down and park in the first car park just a few spaces up from where GAZ340 and J20NOV used to park.

I also had an E30 M3 in silver around this time aswell, used to go to the park with that, always with J16VHF a red metallic Integrale16V,2 silver evo5's

Ah them were the days!!!!

They did sound like the days. Escort Cossie is still down on my list to own (I mean to actually have ownership, not beat), maybe one day when I'm not a youngster.

Just make sure you've got a garage for it mate... RS' still tend to go walkies around these parts.

However, if you live on the base, then I'm sure the tea leaves will be put off by the guys with machine guns at the gates. :P

Cheers,

Best - was a UK300 in my S2k with the top down on a lovely summers day... the expression on the guys and his mates face's as I passed him...priceless - still surprise myself.. must have been power/weight ratio.

Worst - Ferrari 360, with my old astra coupe 1800... he didnt even downshift.. letting me think i was semi keeping up lol ... then at his cut off he dropped a gear and floored it to the limiter.... dissapeared like stardust lol.

One of my "most impressed at a car" stories was an Escort Cossie. Many years ago when I were a young lad, was just leaving 30 zone and I'm 3rd in the traffic queue I see in my mirror 2 cars back an Escort Cossie pull out to overtake. Perfectly safe and he's just cruising past everyone. A decent bit ahead a car appears round the corner coming the other way. As the Cossie pulls level with me he obviously was a little concerned so drops a gear (maybe even two!! ) and disappears to the front of the queue - even to this day I'm still sooo impressed by it - the noise, the acceleration compared to most cars about at that time.

Best - All on track. Various 911turbo's and a new nissan gtr at spa. Well driven gt3rs at donnington

Worst - Missing a gear, twice at knockers and being passed by a lotus. In the wet!
