rallyfever Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 Hi Gordon, What ones you thinking of going for, the new WRC - or traditional bright yellow? Always had a hankering for getting it done myself - just got the full WRC spoiler on the blobeye and it looks the mutts nuts. Maybe watch your thred and see what everyone thinks. Cheers Gary
Big Gordon Posted December 11, 2008 Author Posted December 11, 2008 Gary, my car is a black blobeye so i'm looking for silver graphics. Wanting the big swoosh and stars on the sides. Saw so many at the Gathering it's really put me in the mood.
rallyfever Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 Hi Gordon, Glad to se there are more than just us who like them, I think they are like Marmite, you either love then, or hate them!!! Gary
C_WRX Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 Saw a Black blobeye STi on Wednesday over Whitburn way and it had the big swoosh and stars in gold. As you say either do or don't like it and i guess that's true for the graphics colour choice too. There's one or two with quite a bit of knowledge/experience with the graphics so I'm sure you'll get good info on it all soon enough.
little vodka goblin Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 Here's a pic of mine: I bought them from Scoobykits who were MORE than helpful and sent me colour samples so that I could check that they would look ok on the scoob before purchasing, IIRC the main kit plus the shadows were about £90 but then you get 10% discount as they're SIDC supporters. I'm more than happy with the quality of them and we fitted them ourselves, yes ok it took a few hours but I can honestly say once you get the hang of it it's really not that difficult, just start off with the small ones & then progress to the bigger ones once you get more confident.
scoobykev Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 I fitted mine just before we did the mcrae gathering. I bought them from scoobyworld which was a bit more expensive than most of the ebay stuff. I fitted the small ones myself which was pretty straight forward but left all the 555 ones to a professional to fit as the blue shadows were full numbers and the yellow had to be overlaid on them. The guy that fitted mine said the quality was the same as he would use, ie good. Hope this helps Kev

thewelsho Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 Spaceman said: why not Welsho?thought they did ed 209 car and happy with it? Greig Firstly, the vinyls they used were not intended for outdoor use or for cars. They were intended for indoor use. That meant that they faded in he sun and before long, they were mostly white! Also, when it came to removing them, they also removed the laquer on two other cars who had them fitted, thankfully, I was able to get mine off without this happening. I never bothered to complain and even went back to him for another design that I did. I had to go to him in Ayr to have the car measured up (£25 for petrol); he also has no premises to fit them, so I had to organise that too, but the clincher came when he stuck £80 on top of the original asking price. I complained about this to him, hoping to have some come and go and he simply mailed me back and said, "I'll just leave it". Nice of him, dont you think? Hence the reason I wont ever use his services again - ever ever ever!!!
Big Gordon Posted December 12, 2008 Author Posted December 12, 2008 Thanks for the replies guys. Greig, liking those pics. Noel, as you know i like the look of yours too, just can't quite decide which style to go for
