Bailey73 Posted December 8, 2008 Author Posted December 8, 2008 (edited) Have you been to any Swindon? Edited December 8, 2008 by Bailey73
peterfarrow Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 Have you been to any Swindon? Nope not done any yet, I was hoping we could have an Xmas get together for the locals in Wiltshire etc I am in the Mcrae owners club, but members are spread far and wide and mostly seem to be up north from me, so the Mcrae Gathering is all I have been to ever... Pete
Bailey73 Posted December 8, 2008 Author Posted December 8, 2008 We have had the last official meet for this year but im sure we can all get together before crimbo for a drink.. I will get a thread started
peterfarrow Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 check herehow much The question is, if we all went green and stopped driving big cars or all stop driving cars overnight, tomorrow, where would the money come from to make up the tax income shortful in the government coffers? The answer is of course some other form of taxation, we would suffer crippling taxes in other areas of our lives, and my opinion is we are already taxed enough. My advice is, carry on driving what you want the taxes are going to be less than if you don't, and a lot less fun than driving a car with enough grunt to chuck out more than 225g co2/km... Don't get me wrong this isn't a political statement, every government we have had to date has increased motoring taxes, left or right.

And make sure all the cats are removed from the exhaust so that you get your monies worth
peterfarrow Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 And make sure all the cats are removed from the exhaust so that you get your monies worth right on! I removed all my cats and added a downpipe with a sports cat so I don't have to fanny about at MOT time!! At first I found the flames and very loud pops un-nerving but now its just cool. I am a boy racer all over again.... My two daughters 9 and 11 think its cool, so I am OK with that!
Bailey73 Posted December 10, 2008 Author Posted December 10, 2008 I have only 1 cat left and hopefully that will go next year.. I want flames. LOL There is now a thread about a Xmas get together - Hope you can make it
