New Car Whats Keypad Do?

Hi there. just took delivery of my new 03 wrx. Unfortunatly it came with no manuals or paperwork of any kind. There is a key pad inside the fuse flap at drivers knee i presume is for the alarm but dont know? any idea's.ta

Yep sounds like the alarm keypad.. Used to program certain parts of the alarm, including new key fobs and used to enable/disable the alarm system in the event the fobs fail (not that that happens)

^^^ Assuming it's the same alarm system that's on the bugeye's.. I think it is...

Also, if you do a Google search then you'll no doubt be able to find an 03 model user manual for your car - I used to have a spare one but I binned it!

I do have a spare silver 03 WRX spoiler if anyone wants it. Ready to go on a car.

The other thing you won't ave is the alarm code if you got no paperwork - don't know if it's possible to get that from SUbaru - I'd doubt it. It was on a tiny piece of silver paper, like a small sticker for mine.

If the keyfobs work, you can reset the code (it's in the manual) I did that for mine... Dealer will charge a fair whack for doing the same thing.. No such thing as a master code.. if there was the security system woudl be useless..
