Advice On Exhausts!

Thinking ove getting a new exhaust for my07STI , i have i milltect backbox on just know and its quite quiet,

im looking for something that sounds the part and will give me performance as well, should i take the cat out the car im not due a mot till 2010, any advice on what 2 do cheers.

Full de-cat Turbo back 3" system, with a firestorm backbox sounds the dogs and keeps the neighbours awake, if you want to hear mine drop a small goat.

Just had mine done a fortnight ago and everywhere i go i go via the clyde tunnel !!!!

C&C Custom Stainless in Hillington will build and fit a superb piece of kit at a great price.

As Auld Brian said, C&C carried out the work, supplied and fitted a snakehead downpipe and removed the cats all for the sum of under £300.00.

Sounds great, once you hear it you will want it.

Also took advantage and got it re-mapped by Andy Forrest and its rapido now and safe to floor it.

I had a C & C system on my STI & it was the dogs b*****ks but the noise really gets annoying on a motorway run,

should try a Hayward & scott center pipe with your back box first it will give you the burble without being too loud,

C & C could make you a center pipe before removing the cats or speak to Gus the Bus he can usually get you a good deal

2 of the loudest i've heard are the blitz nur spec r without the bung and the apexi system on playsatan's car.

I nearly bought a 3" straight through system with no baffles at all but thought better of it.

If you get one with removable baffle you can have the best of both worlds.

Iv got a full a system from my 2006 sti from the downpipe back inc a cat replacment pipe £150 and its yours mate.Its in excelant condition and sounds great.

The system comes in 3 parts if you go for the Downpipe, centre and backbox option. You could fit the centre and backbox just now (four bolts) and buy and fit the Downpipe when you are ready to remap. Power gains with a full decat system, uprated fuel pump and an Andy F remap can be considerable for starters.

i've got the full mongoose, turbo back system and very impressed with it. build quality is awesome, also all push fit joins so won't blow, sounds nice too.
