jimmyGforce Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 Hey. For those who know me the car is back online! Running in till remap on 3rd though. A problem still remains from before the big end destruction so looking for the fuel pump relay now.Crank sensor already tried (2nd hand) I heard it was in the boot? Cant see any panels. Also heard it was above fuse box/drivers side. Cant see anything. Any help much appreciated. Thanks, Brian
paul555sti Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 I cant help with the tecnical stuff Brian but its good to hear you have it back on the road.
jimmyGforce Posted November 11, 2008 Author Posted November 11, 2008 Its good to be back! Just before it die though the engine cut out once. Thought it must have been related to the big end failure as i'v never has a problem ever and 2 problems in 1day?? Car still cuts every so often though and wont start for a few mins. Tried a crank sensor as got one cheap. Only fault on ecu reader was crank but that would have come from last oil change at hypertech. Cleaned loads of connections and thinking about fuel relay now. Hows your car Paul? Penny said he loved the handling. He not used to a classic. He's got a heavyweight! He in the SIDC?
paul555sti Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 I think he has a look on here back and forward but he hasnt signed up. He comes along to the central region meets now. If you dont have any luck with information on here you could try the p1 owners club or scoobynet. My cars going well, i treated myself to some new seats , i just need to try and get them fitted now.
jimmyGforce Posted November 11, 2008 Author Posted November 11, 2008 He said putting car off the road for the winter for suspension mods. I'll prob try a relay from Subaru so they will tell me but thought i'd ask. Bad time prob! Only shift folk up!
paul555sti Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 I have been off on the sick for three weeks after a mountain bike crash. Start back tomorrow night for two shifts then off on my ten days

euan_r Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 main relay is double circuit with six pins and is brown in colour fuel pump relay is cylindrical and has green connector to it. both found well up in drivers footwell on door side. in classics anyway. check wiring under back seats as i have seen posts where this has become damaged over time.

Cheers man. Found it up behind dash. It was a bit of a back breaker but could squeeze in under steering wheel upside down with my head on the pedals and reach it :-)
