Pele Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 Water pump can squeak when it's got a leak, usually the seals, perhaps you might check it just in case?
Garth W Posted November 12, 2008 Author Posted November 12, 2008 I hadnt thought of that! Someone said to me the cambelt tensioners get abit squeaky when they get old Oh well im gonna take it down to my mates shop tomorrow so we can have a look at it, hopefully it wont be anything bad! Cheerz for the info peeps
HOL Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 Get some thinnish rubber tube and stick a metal rod in one end. Stick the other end to your ear and touch the rod to the side of the engine in various places. It works like a stethascope and allows you identify where the noise is withoit getting your ear ripped off.
Garth W Posted November 12, 2008 Author Posted November 12, 2008 Yeah its prob cheaper than a stethascope too! cheerz for the advice bud!
