Fog Lights

Recommended Posts

Have to admit i put mine on................... :occasion14:

But it's only the odd time when some dickhead in an Audi or BMW is sitting on my tale doing my nut in.

My front foggers don't work and to be honest i don't need them!!!

I have been following idiots who put the rear ones on as soon as you get up behind them - whats all that about?

Perhaps sitting to close to them? They get pissed about having some one up there rear end so put the rear fogger on to try and get you to back off?

Not saying you do sit too close mind :occasion14: Just a suggestion

thats gennerally when I put my fog lights on...

1. When someone else is sitting behind me with them/highbeam on. - the normally get pissed off and turn them off.

2. The fronts might go on if the condiditons are poor HEAVY RAIN/snow...

3. If they are tailgating me and they have had a chance to overtake me - I'll also check that my Brakes are working too, if the Fogs dont work.

if someone is coming towards me with the fronts on, when they are not needed, I just leave my main beams on till they get the hint...

Its just antisocial innit... For me, its definitely one of the things that takes the joy away from driving...

I had an argument once with a woman whom i was sitting as a passenger in her car. I pointed out to her that she was driving with her rear fogs on when there was no need. "no" she said "that's the button to demist my windscreen".

When she stopped the car i had to take her out and physically show her the lights going on and off with the switch, to which she said "but it still clears my windscreen too!!"

LOL that is like something my bird would say :occasion14:

Also I am aware not all AUDI and BMW drivers are dick heads it is a small minority that gives

them a bad name

It's not so bad being tailgated now cos I just slow down to a crawl stick it in second plant the foot and dissapear into the distance

Most people just don't know how to drive or don't have any road sense what so ever in this country. Using mobiles, fog lamps on when not needed, not using indicators etc., etc. I definitely think re-sitting the driving test every 10 years has got to be a good thing. Too many numpties on the road with bad habits.

If im following someone with heir fogger on then either blind them with the driving lights...or just overtake them.

My Rear fogger is sh!t so no chance of getting blinded by me as it never gets used.

I do however sit at traffic lights with foot on brake rather than using h/brake like said above.

fog lamps should only be used in fog, and when visibility is reduced to less than 100m. beyond that they add nothing to your driving visibility anyway, and just make you look like a chav.

driving with them on on a clear night, in rain or in snow is just antisocial in the extreme, and a friend of mine got pulled by the cops in London and got fined £60 and 3 points for having them on in the rain :D

Yup... :D

While I can't claim to be the worlds best driver ('cos I'm too modest ;)) there are too many people that I see on the roads that who've obviously cut their licence out from the back of a cornflakes packet.

I was stuck in traffic the other day, for too long, behind some prat that kept his foot on the brake pedal when stopped instead of using his handbrake. They were high level brake lights too!

I must have p***ed a lot of people off with our rental car then. :D Nobody uses their parking brake here unless it's a manual transmission and they're parked.
