dale1980 Posted October 30, 2008 Author Posted October 30, 2008 these look no bad http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SUBARU-IMPREZA-WRX-S...1742.m153.l1262
thefastone Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 Yes they do look bad... Really theres no info on those, You dont know who makes them, they could be made of cheese for all you know... SUBARU IMPREZA WRX STI P1 02-05 (These discs work with the Brembo and Prodrive brake upgrade which use a different caliper called allcon and are fitted with adaptor brackets to allow the 330mm discs), please find a lik below to the prodrive website the calipers are not called Allcon, but Alcon are the manufacturers of the Prodrive 330mm brake conversion, you know if you have them, they say prodrive on them... just makes me think that perhaps they dont have a clue what they are talking about... and dont really know what they are selling...
craigdmcd Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 I don't know if it is of any use to you, but I had a set of Carbon Lorraine pads in the brakes on the wifes car and they were pretty awesome stoppers, but they were a bit squealy at slow town speeds so I took them out when I got new DBA discs. They've only done 2-3K, so a pretty much new, if you are interested, you could have them for £60
thefastone Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 I think that most upgraded brake upgrades squeal.... the Prodrive ones squeal, and Ive heard that the Brembos do to....?
fai17 Posted November 2, 2008 Posted November 2, 2008 these look no badhttp://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SUBARU-IMPREZA-WRX-S...1742.m153.l1262 I'd give them a miss...just not worth chancing on your only stoppers Best to stick to a well known brand and quality.....Alyn is your man for that.
Gee Wr1 Posted November 2, 2008 Posted November 2, 2008 328mm i think. Performance Friction all the way for me, the disc pad combo is amazing with no fade. Not the cheapest option by far but you pays your money ... Got mine from Zen Performance , great service on price & delivery.

I was going get sum AP's but a few people have said to me about these performace friction pads and disc's Take it there a pritty decent set? cheerz
arch Posted November 3, 2008 Posted November 3, 2008 The performance friction bells and rotors and pads are around £500. No need to ask where I would go for mine if I needed them

Igot mine for a good deal as i got discs, front pads, rear pads(not fitted yet) braided hoses & 5.1 fluid. There's a few of us on the Wr1 site using them now with no complaints only praise . Duncan Graham (Dynamix) runs them on his hawkeye time attack car gave us the heads up on them he said there's no need for big brake kits if you use them, if they're good enough for time attack constant laps they're good enough for me.

Only thing being if you had the brembo's to start off with, But buying brembo's disc's, bells then pads would be expensive but sayin that when it cums rounds to renewing the disc's and bells ud be ok and still have decent brakes. HMMMMMM dont know what to do
