Connor_scotland Posted October 26, 2008 Posted October 26, 2008 (edited) Heres a wee update on my car Ordered a abs JUN front splitter an some paint for it so will get it fitted for the Highland Run on Sunday :-) Gave her a good wash aswell. Got the rear lights just need to swap them now as the previous owner did a bit of shawdy wiring on them....... Before - I was testing the 4wd up at the farm :-) Then i gave it a good clean today before it started raining Bear in mind i am getting the standard grill as the previous owner wanted to "debadge" it lol Edited October 26, 2008 by Connor_scotland
StewartyBoy Posted October 26, 2008 Posted October 26, 2008 Car looks grand! As youve got the facelift bonnet, and are planning to renew the grill it may be a good idea to source a second hand pair of facelift headlights to fit the gap between the grill and bonnet better!?

Cheers I was going to ask about that. I like my preface bumper BUT was wanting the facelift lights. Do these requi9re any different clips or wires or is it a straight swap. Also ordering the v2 grill :-) as the debadged one looks poop

iainc Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 Dunno about the lights being a straight swap, but if your gonna get them then you'll need a V3 or later grill, the V2 one is for the lights you have just now I swapped the std (crap) lights on my old 94 wagon for a set of Morettes, which I'm sure were only made in the phase 2 form, fitted without any problems for me, albeit the bonnet/grill wasn't 100% due to the gap, the right grill would make a difference though (esp when you already have the newer bonnet).
DR Motosport Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 If you have an import car you need manual adjustment lights. If you have a UK model you need electric adjustment lights. Same rule applies to Morette's. You must state UK or Import when ordering. David
RA Dunk Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 hope those rear ones are the ones that are comming off m8
Connor_scotland Posted October 28, 2008 Author Posted October 28, 2008 hope those rear ones are the ones that are comming off m8 yea they are mate. Just the previous owner didnt have the "best" wiring skills so its a bit messy. Just need to make time at the weekend to get rid of them
Connor_scotland Posted October 28, 2008 Author Posted October 28, 2008 The front splitter turned up today. Nice an rubber lol :-0 im off friday so Thursday night im painting it an will fit it friday
iainc Posted October 28, 2008 Posted October 28, 2008 If you have a UK model you need electric adjustment lights. As I tell my kids... you would LIKE... not NEED. Just means on a UK car you can't use the adjusters in the car... you do NEED the manual ones for the imports though otherwise you'll not be able to adjust them at all
