buffalo Posted October 18, 2008 Posted October 18, 2008 (edited) anyone retro fitted these using an adhesive rather than bolting it on. would tiger seal secure it enough as i dnt want to lose yet more body parts cheers Edited October 18, 2008 by buffalo
thefastone Posted October 19, 2008 Posted October 19, 2008 I'd be wary of fixing it with just adhesive... adhesive and bolts perhaps... but adhesive on its own... because spoilers are under a reasonable amount of stress from the airflow... that said, I dont know if this is something thats been done before... but I would imagine that if it fell off and hit another car, then the police would be up for anally raping you... (Unsecured load?) ive also seen the police get REALLY funny about stuck on number plates too... so... yeah...
StewartyBoy Posted October 19, 2008 Posted October 19, 2008 Far too risky, secure it by fittings only. Just sticking something like that on is madness in my opinion.
buffalo Posted October 19, 2008 Author Posted October 19, 2008 cheers guys just didnt fancy drilling holes etc on my own
StewartyBoy Posted October 19, 2008 Posted October 19, 2008 cheers guys just didnt fancy drilling holes etc on my own It really isnt a difficult thing to fit, just takes 2 people, a drill and sealant of some description to stop the drilled holes from rusting.

thewelsho Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 Just noticed I have one too No idea how it got there, or what Subaru used to glue it on. Just been out to check, and there's no sellotape used If only blue peter covered things like this when it was on telly Good luck! Off Topic: but stonking pic
buffalo Posted October 20, 2008 Author Posted October 20, 2008 that is a lovely pic indeed. yes it was your spoiler i was talking about, so if you bonded it on using (sikaflex, tiger seal etc) it should stay put? dnt knw if any of you are similar, its just when i look in my rear view there is quite a degree of movement on my sti wing too so i can only imagine the forces acting upon it
