superstar_tradesman Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 well folks next week is my last week of scooby ownership. the 555 is going. I'm just not using it to justify keeping it so it's going. I'm getting myself a wee clio 172 cup to play about in. But as Arnie always says "I'll be back".

mystery machine Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 How come you're not using the Scoob?
braveheart Posted September 20, 2008 Posted September 20, 2008 Im sure you will be back we always do, with something a little bit better, however she was a cracker and i hope she going to a good home all the best Chris.
superstar_tradesman Posted September 20, 2008 Author Posted September 20, 2008 How come you're not using the Scoob? I've got a four year old daughter, a 6 week old daughter and ever increasing work commitments which means the car goes to work and back and that's it, it's costing me about 15 quid a week for a rediculously short journey hence why I've decidied to move on, but I will be back hopefully soon with something even better.

Hope to see you back here again some day FWIW, if I could travel to work for £15 a week I'd be singing from the hilltops!

mystery machine Posted September 20, 2008 Posted September 20, 2008 Sounds good for keeping work expenses down, but as you say - no daily excuse to use the motor properly.

buffalo Posted September 21, 2008 Posted September 21, 2008 oh well if needs must, the renault sports rock anyway. you'll still have a mile on your face
jim dbm Posted September 21, 2008 Posted September 21, 2008 you will love the 172 cup mate. i had one about 3 years ago bought it brand new got it lowered and fitted itg panel filter and a magnex exhaust they really fly, light cars proper hot hatch, great handling and very quick. enjoy.
superstar_tradesman Posted September 27, 2008 Author Posted September 27, 2008 well that's the scoob gone, got the cup 172 and tbh I haven't stopped grinning. It's a wee go kart, acceleration is superb, it handles like it's on rails and the brakes are superb. I thought I was going to be gutted when I got rid of the scoob but I'm not. On the trip computer coming home earlier it was showing 42 mpg, would never get that in the scoob.
