Wrx Ppp Exhausts Mods - Any Pics?

Recommended Posts

Anyone know what the exhaust mods on a PPP'd MY05 WRX look like?

(I'm talking about the the CAT mod, not the back box (clear Prodrive markings))

I got the impression from various sites that it was a centre cat delete pipe on the WRX, i.e. straight run, no bulges, however looking at mine, it looks like it has a CAT in the middle.

Anyone got some pics?

Depends if it's the 2.0 or the 2.5.

2.0 has a straight CAT delete, but the 2.5 has a stinky little silencer in there instead of the CAT, something to do with noise regs.

I have removed this stinky wee silencer and the resonator and it sounds soooo much sweeter, although still not as good as my 2.0 sounded without any post PPP mods.

Cheers

The CAT delete isn't stamped Prodrive (it's made by Scorpian I think), they also refit the heat shields to the centre CAT delete.

If you can get a peek through the opening of the bulgy bit, you should see the straight pipe going through with no CAT. They also have a boss fitted to the CAT delete pipe to take the lamda sensor.

Looks pretty much how my 2.0 looked.

The cat pipe is removed in the WRX too. Just looks like it is still there as the heatshields are replaced around the decatted pipe.

Also the centre section isnt a cat its just a resonator.

Thanks for this.

Had a wee roll under the car earlier on and got to wondering where my decat pipe was. Good to hear its disguised as a cat-pipe !!!

:D
