mystery machine Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 Dealers don't decide how much a car is worth - supply and demand dictates it. It doesn't take too much working out to see that a combination of petrol price rises, road tax hikes and talk of a 'credit crunch' have damaged the performance car market (if not the used car market as a whole). So if they've been 'giving them away' it's simply because they aren't fetching as much as they were - and let's face it, if they really were such a 'giveaway bargain', the forecourts would be clear of them - and from my recent Scoob-hunting I can tell you that there are more than plenty to go around! As a private seller, you're subject to the same market forces as the dealers - so it's not so much a case of 'dealers driving down the value of your motor' as the market driving down the value of your motor and their motors. Ye cannae whack the economy
Guest GB270 Posted September 11, 2008 Posted September 11, 2008 Yay got her back. And she is gleaming..... Had the best drive into work this morning. So missed that power, now the modding is going to start. What exhaust to get? I'm thinking the same thing about mine. Let me know what exhaust you go for and what you think about it!

Mystery Machine you should get into car sales m8.lol Brian Edited September 11, 2008 by FK1

Just don't like to see Scoobs getting pushed into the market at silly prices, but if that's what's needed to shift them I'll just need bend over and take it! Doesn't hurt until change time anyway (that's the Scoob residual and not the taking it, ahem) Anyway glad the original GB270 in question is getting sorted Edited September 11, 2008 by bogie
