fudge Posted August 31, 2008 Posted August 31, 2008 Enjoying a lift home from the Colin Mcrae Gathering with Steve & Susie in Susie's Type R, along side us were Dazzler , 20withascoob and Basser? when all of a sudden we were joined by a sensible fellow motorist in a heavily modified Toyota MR2. By pure coincidence it became apparent that all four cars were four abreast with very little traffic in front. All four drivers sustained a mature pace of 80mph whilst looking at each other when all of a sudden a large bump spanning the width of the 4 lanes resulted in an unexpected surge forward by all four cars. It was at this point that the (two wheeled drive) MR2 driver decided to show us his sideways drifting skills down one of the centre lanes. Being responsible British motorists, the 3 Impreza drivers where fully aware of a heavy traffic flow behind, so to avoid causing further risks they overtook the MR2 leaving him practice his drifting skills by himself. Well done you three, and many thanks to Steve & Susie for the lift home.

luke_clifton Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 I got totally split up from the whole of Kent Scoobies from the moment we arrived in Banbury. Only see 2 Kent Scoobies members on the way home too. Did anyone else keep getting toots & the thumbs up from normal motorists on the way home? Kept happening to me all the way back to Kent lol.
matthew_buckland Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 We too were split up, fortunately me, Roar, Loonybin, Nudge, Pa's car and Jolly stayed together. So we managed to park together in Prodrive banbury. Shame Kent couldn.t arrive at the Banbury facility together. Its brilliant when people wave and give the thumbs up isnt it.
