paul555sti Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 Looks to me as if there is a white ford mondaeo est with a subaru scoop fitted. Well spotted! I think he was trying to sneak in with us rather than the fords.
wulsey Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 No matter how much he try's its never going to be subaru!
cruz104 Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 What a great day folks really enjoyed it, top bunch of people and the cars well what can I say awesome display, loudest, cleanest and on the best stand despite Mr Sheddens opinion!!! col666 Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 (edited) I really need to find a safer hobby! The accidents are getting closer and closer. Pug 306 on the second pace car lap lost his back end and came straight across the gravel and into the tyres just beside me, which then catapulted him into the air passing me at about head height and landing really heavily on the banking. I keep saying this but it was definately the closest one yet!! Got covered in muck out the tyres and hit by various bits of car mainly in the head which is a bit sore! Never had the chance to get a pic as it happened so fast and so close but this is it just after landing, the occupants are still inside and totally unhurt. Col. Edited August 24, 2008 by Col 666

andy Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 Topic moved to General SS Chat. I think it's better when pre-event stuff is in events and post-event coverage is in the General chat area. Gets more coverage.
boris b Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 Well spotted! I think he was trying to sneak in with us rather than the fords. I thought that was a photoshop... Please tell me it is.... Was in Teso at South Queensferry for the shift brekkie food at 7.45am. Quite a few Skylines and Evos there... All giving it large revs...oh...And a Ford Puma Had to laugh as i went past in the tranny van .... They all went quiet...
Peter W Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 Yes Robin's Mondeo does have a Scooby bonnet scoop. As well as being an SIDC member I'm also a Mondeo owner & I was at the other end line with the Rapid Fit Mondeo. I did think about speaking to yous but I bottled out of it maybe next time. Nice line up motors though guys

I thought i had seen pictures of the car on here before but wasnt sure if it was that one or not. You should have came along and said hello.
Peter W Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 Paul you probably saw pictures of my Mondeo at the local show we had up here at Inchberry a few weeks back. At that show I had my Impreza & Mondeo sitting side by side. As for the bucket seats in the back I thought the back seat passengers should have the same comfort as the ones in the front. I'll come up & say hello next time
