Arron and myself have had our entry accepted for the above event on september 13/14th.

We shall be competing in our rally car with some top cars, in a quality event, with the proceeds going to charity.

As its a spectator event, you can come along and show your support for two of Kent Scoobies longest serving members...

The boys from Essex are planning to show their support, so why not tag along.... details here..

Many thanks

We've already been on the Website to check out prices etc, we will definately be there, hoping to spend weekend camping so we can do both days :)

Well done on getting accepted to...

We're marshalling - probably start line, so will be looking out for you :icon_salut:

Wondered about getting some sort of SIDC badge onto my kit. Suspect that the small stickers won't cling to the cloth all day, and the 14" monster would not flex if it went on the back of my waterproofs.

Cheers, David & Chrissy

Not sure that I like the idea of a charity fund raiser giving away free admission, but the J-K & A fan club need to know about this thread -

I was asked by the organisers if we would like to attend, He said as he is also an sidc member it would be great to have the club alond. I will be taking donations over the weekend from all that attend.

Well im sorry to announce that whilst taking the car to MOCOM on friday, the gearbox decided to break on the rally car!

We stripped the box out yesterday and and took it apart to discover that the problem is a broken input shaft...

As this is a specialist gearbox, there are only a few places that can repair it for us. A new input shaft costs somewhere in the region of £700 plus labour. Add that to the price of tyres, trailer hire, fuel, and overnight stays etc, both of us have decided that cost and time are not on our side to enable us to get the car ready for next weekend.

Im sure that anyone going will still have a great time and im sure you will understand our problems.

Sads news guys - especially as you'd got a pretty decent seeding

Hope it's fixed before too long - lets us know the next few appearances after it's sorted.

Yep, seeding was quite favorable....

There is another event up that way in October, but we will have to see how we get on with the gearbox.

we will still be coming up on saturday to view the event as we have been allowed to park in the service area. We will only be getting back 60% of the entry fee, so we are going to make the most of the money it has cost us...lol

Going out to Belgium on Sunday to watch an event out there!!
