Video Camera - Thanks To Scottyrb320

Unfortunately, due to the scoob being off the roads we will be unable to take part in the main convoy from Lanark to Banbury.

However, we will be following the same route and would like to video the event for various vantage points along the route.

Anyone has a video camera the can lend us?

I am in Stirling not too far from Lanark if you want to borrow mine?

Also a decent Canon EOS 350D if you need to take pics as well.

More than happy to lend you both if you can arrange pick up and drop back at mine unless you want to run the risk of posting them back and forth???

Scotty,

the collection would not be a problem, as we are in lanark for a week before the event.

Both would be an advantage.

Will have to look into the return of the items, how quickly would you want them back as I would need to download the data.

Steve - I live about 10 miles from Stirling. If Scotty is kind enough to offer the loan then I can take them home, put the data on DVD and post to you. That way you don't have to worry about couriers etc. I'll ensure return of the items to Scotty.

I will arrange to collect from Scotty in the week before the event, then hand them to you at the end of the Sunday and wait for the dvd.

Had better remember and take the vid of the wife off before giving it to you.....not unless you want to go halfers on the profits from the DVD's we could distribute of her...

When i get home friday JD i will send you the spec of the video camera mate just in case it is not up to the job but it should be only a year or so old but the small tape version if that is ok?

used to have an EOS 300D camera, so I am assuming the operation will be very similar.

The EOS 350D is a quality camera, expeshaly once you start expanding its capabilities with different len's,and different filters ect. My Dad the greedy bastured recently (Well i say recently about 6 months ago) Bought the Canon EOS 5D with a staggering 12megapixel camera. As he would like to do event photograpy. And minimum requirement for magazines is 12megapixel.

Got the word today the beast will not be ready for Saturday there was always the risk to be honest.

I hope everyone has a cracking drive down and really looking forward to seeing the footage and pics.

I hope the weather behaves, will be having a wee minutes silence myself on Sat as a wee private mark of respect to the man.
