prodrive tony Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 (edited) Hi strangers, cleared all my fault codes with a simple change of dash instruments!! Only problem is I've gained 30,000 miles!! Anyone know any mileage correction specialists?? Got a budget of £1000 for new front brakes, what do people have and recommend? Looking at gold Brembo's and 356mm K-sports at the mo. Still waiting on paintshop for respray, but busy fitting alloy race rad and p1 angel spots for now. Edited August 6, 2008 by Prodrive Tony

Scooby Hoo? Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 Great Idea Anyone got Brembo's?? Standard WRX on mine
danno Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 I don't have anything as posh as Brembos on mine, but I do have Tarox track day stuff. Funnily enough it was in for a service recently at the dealers and they pointed out there was only a few thousand miles left on the front pads. They offered to replace them. "Standard front pads?" I asked. "Yes". On hardened vented discs? Errr, I'll pass thanks

Ian Litchfeild do the Porsche Kit I think it's about the some sort of money. Much to rich for my purse.

prodrive tony Posted August 8, 2008 Author Posted August 8, 2008 Thanks guys, looking at D2's and KAD's also. Think the K-sports are winning at the mo. Can get some Prodrive calipers but require new discs and pads which I cant source yet.

Can get some Prodrive calipers but require new discs and pads which I cant source yet. Unbeknown to many Tony the D2 set up is produced in the same Factory as the K-Sports! But the K,s are cheaper! I have the 356mm kit on mine tested in anger on trhe Ring and a moment at 130mph on the Autobahn when a pole decided to pull out into my lane! Standard brakes would have not stopped me i would have been in his boot! Im running street pads at the moment which are good. They would be immense with DS2500,s on . Just my tuppence worth!

Also having Prodrive branded on the side makes them look the dogs
HOL Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 Kip is running K Sports i think, and he will tell you they are better than APs They must be good then, I had AP' 4pot's on my TypeR and they were the mutts-nutt arounds Silverstone. The same spec Pads on my Newage Brembos were dire after half a lap. (But, the disks were solid and the car is 100kg heavier).
deani_age Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 They do look good Dean, can't wait to hear from you on how they perform Only 2 weeks to wait.
