marc skinsley Posted July 27, 2008 Author Posted July 27, 2008 (edited) haha i dont even read wot im typing i just type and if i make a word its a bonus, a few people have said cluth but it doesnt seem like a clutch fault i was wondeing if it might be the selector part of the box falling to bits or somthing Edited July 27, 2008 by marc skinsley
swifty1981 Posted July 27, 2008 Posted July 27, 2008 hi and welcome, you will find it helpfull on here
pistonbroke2 Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 I would say its the clutch mate, its not disengaging the gears so its getting stuck in gear. The fact that you have trouble getting it in gear without the car moving definitely points to the clutch being worn. Don't drive it unless you have to, the way it is currently, you'll be chewing your synchros up pretty bad until the clutch is replaced.
Nudge Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 Hi mate and welcome, Id say clutch as well, i had a similar problem on mine, then one day the release bearing disintigrated and ruined the rest of the clutch.
marc skinsley Posted July 28, 2008 Author Posted July 28, 2008 well it needs to come apart wotever it is so i might just strip and see wot i can see going to b the best thing i reckon thanks people wasnt expecting such a quick response i will let ya know how it goes
marc skinsley Posted July 28, 2008 Author Posted July 28, 2008 thanks for the warm welcome everybody its emotional haha, by the way my car will go into second gear if you ease it in gently and slow on clutch so that makes me think its more clutch than box like you all said.
rodregos Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 Hi m8 and welcome to the club. I agree it sounds like clutch to me as well
