whisperuk Posted July 22, 2008 Posted July 22, 2008 Helloo Oxfordshire Finally, after saying goodbye to my nicely vandalised WRX Wagon last September, I will be picking up my new R Reg classic turbo this weekend. This isnt a WRX version however and I was wondering If I would notice a huge difference in driving my new one over the WRX and didnt get much drive time with it so at the moment couldnt tell much difference. It has Koni suspension and Blitz exhaust Quicker/Slower - Better Handling/Worse Handling Havn't been on the scene much and also wondered if its still favourable to get Sport Air filters over induction kits. Before I was told induction kits can be a problem with the oil going into the system Sorry for rabbiting on I am kind of excited WhisperUK p.s Does the Oxford Scooby Club have a website?

Hi WhisperUK Firstly I would like to welcome you back, if your old car was the 2002 wrx with 305 bhp the classic will probably feel slower and a little less stiff of handling as standard, as the chassis on the bugeyes was alot stiffer than the classic, but these can be easily remedied with a few mods, the important thing is that you are back on the scene. I would recommend a pipercross airfilter, available from Crossroads Subaru for around £30, this is what I run in my Sti it is oil free so no maff issues This is the website for the Oxon Scooby Crew as it is an integral region of the SIDC If you get your car in time would you be joining us for our meet on Sunday the 27th ? Click for info Cheers Iain
whisperuk Posted July 22, 2008 Author Posted July 22, 2008 (edited) Realised it was earlier that September I lost my car to a good kick in reason being below- I wanted let ya know of an awesome competition I won at the end of 2006. Care of Prodrive open day I won first prize on the raffle and won a VIP trip with Subaru WRT. (Mum was sick cos she bought my ticket) So me and my beloved decided to go to the Sardinia Rally 2007 full VIP of Subaru. We had our own driver who was just an awesome guy that drive us everywhere to various events and totally looked after us. We had VIP passes to everywhere in the Subaru tent and surounding areas. ( including the inside of the win and beer fridge) and They payed for everything, even our £200 hotel bar bill. We chilled with the mechanics and Chris Atkinson most of the evenings we were there at an awesome hotel We got to see at least one stage per-day and 2 on one day. Sardinia is an awesome place to see a rally and to spend it with Subaru is an everlasting memory. Our driver ever took us around one of the stages later on after it cleared up!! In our Opel hire car--- it was filthy and how it survived our 15mph sprint ill never know Would blast up a few pics if I knew how to do it. Unsire if i have to load to a websie and link to here or how i make them show in the message. Regards Edited July 22, 2008 by WhisperUk
