scuba dou Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 (edited) Not been around of late. Just wondering what plans are in place for joining the above from the Abz end? I plan on coming home and getting the cob webs off 616 ARL and to take part in this event. Also see that the stickers are sold out. If anyone local can help me there I will be glad to pay cash now or later. Jools - Copenhagen. Edited July 17, 2008 by Scuba Dou
micra_wrc Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 Jools, stickers are not sold out, we've just ran out of stock.... em rather quickly lol! more stickers have been ordered and we'll be resuming the dispatch of stickers at the end of next week. Place your order in the shop, we'll get them out to you eventually re joining the convoy, hopefully the ROs will start up their own local convoys to get you into Lanark in plenty time on the Saturday morning. I'm hoping for a frenzy of activity at the start of August with mini-convoys being organised and things will start happening for us to come together and make this happen
thefastone Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 Hey Jools, hows trix! We've not made any plans for it yet, although now that you mention it, I perhaps should think about arranging something for it... I know that provided everything does not go horribly HORRIBLY wrong (and I'm not back onshore soon enough), I'll be driving down on the day from Aberdeen but Ive not thought about times yet... Is that you that just joined Aberdeen Scoobies? If so its good to have you on board!
the_ex_leper Posted July 19, 2008 Posted July 19, 2008 we will be heading down in the morning aswell have been keeping a eye out to see if a wee convoy is happening

scuba dou Posted July 20, 2008 Author Posted July 20, 2008 Thanks all...having a nightmare over here in Viking land. Trying to order 4 stickers tonight and I can't get through the system. Ordered the t-shirsts the other day and that went ok. Was sent log on details, but I keep getting booted out saying usrername or password is wrong. Have double checked 10 times! Anyone else having hassles? Jools

I get emails for each order - it came through on the third attempt. All confirmed and funds received. You're sorted I'll cancel the two bogey orders.
RA Dunk Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 andy what sort of delivery times are we looking at now? is it still a month?
andy Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 andy what sort of delivery times are we looking at now? is it still a month? Stickers no, but shirts possibly. I've started putting spreadsheets together to see exactly where we are with things, but it's a time-consuming process. It has been f***ing crazy and WAY busier than I or we EVER anticipated. I do know we've already raised s***loads more money than we expected to for the charities which is what it's all about so the nervous breakdown was worth while.
scuba dou Posted July 20, 2008 Author Posted July 20, 2008 Hey Andy, Many thanks. I log on through my works server in Dallas, via Abz, from Copenhagen.... so that must be causing me some delays and problems. I see order number 980 is confirmed and that 981 and 982 are pending. Thanks for the help and conformation. I have given you the address of friends in the village back home, but I ordered the t-shirts to my UK home address, which the Royal Mail forward on, but this takes time. Can I amend the shipping address for the t-shirts to be the same as the stickers? Sorry for hassle as you guys are doing a fantastic job. Jools
andy Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 Can I amend the shipping address for the t-shirts to be the same as the stickers? I'll try, but possibly not as the shirts are shipped direct from the embroiderer to the address specified on the order. They're swamped as it is and dealing with a large backlog. I don't want to confuse things with them, but will see what they say.
scuba dou Posted July 20, 2008 Author Posted July 20, 2008 Dale; that was me trying to log onto Abz scoobies Cal; Life is better now. We had a hard time with Sinclair being ill earlier this year. (Late Jan thru early March) He got sick real bad after his appendix ruptured at school. He was in a HDU in the main university hospital over here for over 30 days. This included 3 major op's. It was real tough on two occasions; where he was listed as very critical for two 24 hr periods and just critical for over 16days.... Difficult, even now. Hence me not being around on here or back at home much. Don't know where the year has gone, but we are all getting back to normal and he is back to full power. Young Finlay is also doing well and they are both loving life over here; as is their Mum. Dad not complaining either...just miss the car and track days. I am going to try and take both the boys home for the trip to the McRae Gathering (616 ARL will be there for sure) and maybe get back to the track days next year. When Sinclair was in hospital, he kept looking at the knockhill vid you put together of our last track day out in Nov 2006 when it was so wet and we were making the very best of it. Andy; many thanks for trying.

thefastone Posted July 21, 2008 Posted July 21, 2008 Yeah funny you should mention it, I think that we are missing YOU at Knockhill!!!! Sorry to hear about Your wee boy though mate, wouldn't wish that upon anyone! oh, and you say trying, are you having problems getting in?
johns Posted July 21, 2008 Posted July 21, 2008 Jools, good to hear you are in the land of the living. Very sorry to hear about Sinclair, but hopefully he is back at 100% again. You can get anything delivered to my house at any time if you want no problems. Will be good to catch up with you again on the 30th. We've got a track event booked at Knockhill in the morning (I know, but it was booked before the McRae date was chosen) from 9 to 1. I'll being doing that, then heading down at 1pm to catch up with everyone in the evening. Might even catch up at some point in the convoy down, depending on how long each fuel stop is John (also madly busy with life, work and everything!)
iainc Posted July 22, 2008 Posted July 22, 2008 Good to hear you're still around Jools... not so good about your son but glad to hear he's on the mend now though. Still pass your old house every few days on the way into work
scuba dou Posted July 23, 2008 Author Posted July 23, 2008 Cheers for the comments.... Dale; have not tried since the other night. Will try now I have the info. Thanks for the offer John. I have diverted the goods to Kinmuck to our friends there, across the road from Simon & Helen. KN sounds very tempting, but I think I will head south with the group on the Sat morning. We will probably be on the road at the same time, but I may come home on the Fri morning and head south on the Fri night. IainC; we still have the house - rented out to a Finnish family. Keep an eye on it as you go through. Jools...the Viking
~ ~ Cal ~~ Posted July 23, 2008 Posted July 23, 2008 Jools - sorry to hear about the wee man. Sounds like all is now on the mend. Have a 7 month old boy myself incidentally called Finlay too.... Gotta love those Danish women though eh !? Enjoy 616 ARL, turning the key for the first time shall be a special moment !
