Smiler AS Posted July 7, 2008 Posted July 7, 2008 .. Any idea how much boost you were getting? Peaked at 19psi at 3200rpm then hangs around the 17/18psi mark til about 4700rpm then starts to fall (the poor wee TD04 run out off puff by then!) TBH, Im happy with that, If im gunning it tend to change up a gear around 5400rpm, so not needing an overly bigger turbo to suit me. Even considering Andy F's hybrid TD04 which is meant hold boost that bit longer and I do love the early / quick spool up of the TD04's!

Yeah me too... Helps acceleration!, Keep the revs low on mine too to it's perfect for my driving style
iainc Posted July 7, 2008 Posted July 7, 2008 Well done to robert (wrxbob) for having the most powerful car on the rollers.I didn't get everybody's torque figures but I know Aaron's 2.5 pulled some good torque. Nice 1 folks Rich Woohoo... 4th most powerful car on the rollers and it's std My torque was fairly equal with the bhp, ~300-ish as well. Was getting that a lot higher than Aarons though, shows the benefit of the remapping getting it moved further down the rev range.

It just looked so different to everyones elses that I seen anyway! Even IainC's 2.5 STI Hawkeye graph was different. Most people seemed to have their torque and bhp follow each other up the graph as opposed to mine, where the torque was starting to trail off and bhp was still on the rise til about 5700rpm. Already strated looking for bigger, better (even STI) TMIC, any suggestions appreciated. Edited July 7, 2008 by Smiler AS

Unless you are planning a front mount It's considered the most efficient, Notibly better quality than the eBay ones which have big claims bit heard a few reports of leaks. Also the STi one looks better IMHO.. Just a bit pricey though, even 2nd hand... I was lucky getting one with Y-Pipe for around £100 off ebay a few weeks back..

p1ggm Posted July 7, 2008 Author Posted July 7, 2008 livis wee starlet was sadly hitting fuel cut, should run about 160, its a bloody quick wee car on and just aswell no one seen me taking the low pic of the classic, i was lying down in the middle of the car park. not too bad for a 3/4 year old fuji cam i suoppse
wulsey Posted July 7, 2008 Posted July 7, 2008 Cool pics. Looks like a good day out was had by all. Some good power figs awell. Really like the look of the hawkeye wagon!
speech Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 Sorry that I had to do a fast exit after going on the rollers, had a Stag do to get to (mate was waiting for me back at mine!) Some good figures posted up there, and was shocked when I heard about ScoUK's motor! Did everyone get 3 power runs? Think he mentioned that that's what the normally does but wasn't going to do 3 runs on mine since it was running lean and that I should get it checked out! Anyway, from the graphs it was 273.0BHP, about 273 FtLb of torque at about 17PSI of boost, so not far off Andy F's Road Dyno results of 280BHP and 293FtLb torque. All in all not too worried about the numbers, and besides, got a VF35 and STi pink injectors still to go in along with another trip to Port Seaton.......
P1Andy Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 Bit slow in getting the pics up but better late than never. Was a good day and nice to see a good turnout for the event.
