Just Been Run Off The Road....

Driving along the A90 this evening a white van man decided he wanted to overtake without looking in his mirror. Unfortunately I was along side him at the time, which as you can imagine left me very little choices of where to go as he hit me but into the centre reservation and then the barrier.

Damage so far is the front passenger wing, bumper, bonnet and 3 of my 18" ppf alloys(with tyres that I had only fitted 600 mls ago) but will find out more after the insurance assessor casts his eye over it.

My insurance has offered me a body shop in Arbroath that I've dealt with before and wasn't very keen on so anyone know any good body shops in the Dundee/Perth /Aberdeen areas that they can recommend?

Gutted :D

Personally Kinghorn in Aberdeen are the only bodyshop i would use if i was getting work done on the scoob. Had work done on previous cars and none have matched the quality and service. Very expensive but if the insurance company is picking up the bill :D

F**k... not good news.

When the wifes Leon was hit and run a while back we used a place outside Inverurie... can't mind the name offhand... Lethany body shop or something... small out of town place and it cost ~£300 to sort a rear 3/4 panel that looked like it needed replaced... bloke sorted it and you'd honestly never know it'd have been damaged in the first place... was a non-std colour to sort as well.

Another vote here for Kinghorn bodyshop. I am friends with 1 of the son's and I had a repair done by the other son and it was a cracking repair they did :D

Pro-Trim Autobody. Stonehaven 01569 764257.

these guys are good

Pesonally wouldnt mate. Used them last year. Took ages and was not really impressed at all with the finished results. Castle Park Autobody in ellon are supposed to be really good though and they will be my choice for redoing my bumper soon.

Bad news about this, but main things are that the car is repairable and you're ok. :D

Will try and dig out a card for a bodyshop in Kirriemuir that we used when someone decided to reverse into my sisters Civic Type-R and tear open the rear 1/4 panel with a towbar. Panel was repaired and you'd never know it was damaged, p1ggm has had work done there too and will back up the recommendation. :D

The guys name is Phil and I'm sure the place is called Autotech or something....... but will dig the card out tomorrow and update it for you.

Cheers,

Grant
