GJLATZ Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 (edited) Hello all, Well, took all your advice and went through to Meercat this weekend for another backbox. The service and the quality or the product are absolutly brilliant. I got the sound and rolled tip 3inch tailpipe aswell. Thanks everyone. One last piece of info (boring as it maybe). Drove 169 miles (south of Edinburgh to Meecat and back) on half a tank of fuel......65 mph both ways Edited June 20, 2008 by GJLATZ

GJLATZ Posted June 17, 2008 Author Posted June 17, 2008 My car is down there the now for further custom work....smaller up pipe ..pipework for FMIC...etc etc I seen your Scoob in there, Scott did mention the Crail quarter mile. What horse power is it putting out?
GJLATZ Posted June 17, 2008 Author Posted June 17, 2008 If you don't mind me asking how much was it as I am thinking on getting mine done. I got the same pipework diameter as the standard exhuast with a 3 inch rolled tailpipe. Nice big thump on tickover and a very nice rumble at cruising speed £170 all fitted...

fai17 Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 Might need to give Meercat a further visit for the RA you want a prsonally quote?
gus the bus Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 you want a prsonally quote? Pedro, The RA has a Powerflow exhaust fitted with the Jap style slash cut exit (no my style) so wondered if Willie/Scott would cut and add a standard exit with box (tailpipe) the same as the Leggy? Gus

buffalo Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 yeah meercat rock, only problem i have with mine is it didnt stay shiney?! it brings the whole look of the car down. i suppose sum metal polish or something would work but i thought exhausts were ment to stay bright and clean. every other one i have had did. Especially for the money spent
Richie Cross Posted June 21, 2008 Posted June 21, 2008 I started using Autosol which kept it shiny but recently have been using Meguiars metal polish and it's really good. Even gets the edges of the lip shiny and they were pretty black with the exhaust gases.
Frank_STI Posted June 21, 2008 Posted June 21, 2008 Exhaust looks really nice mate! Autosol is a great product, i actually prefer it to the megs stuff but both would keep your exhaust looking tip top!
dan_jess Posted June 21, 2008 Posted June 21, 2008 Looks good mate. I agree about the Autosol or other stuff, really spoils pics of cars when the car looks great and there is a grubby exhaust, especially as it takes 10mins to do and the difference is unbelievable
