colzo Posted June 3, 2008 Author Posted June 3, 2008 When did you wash and wax the car, as it looked well minted on sunday.Cleanest car in the street by a mile Cheers mate. The pics were taken a couple of weeks ago Mark. Just gave it a quick wash on Sunday morn before I was talking to you.
C_WRX Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 Nice one Colin, looking very nice. You seem knowledgeable enough to do your own detailing, surprised you're taking it all the way up to pb when you could manage yourself. You should've posted a pic of your engine bay as it is now...still remember near clean perfection pics from a while back. These clean car pics keep reminding me I've still got the job of getting stuck in to mine! Not having had much time in the past few months for proper car care the paintwork is swirly with the ocassional light scratch that needs attention - just can't get a full weekend set aside to do it all !!
marky.t.s Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 missed this last night....top job there Col,i dont think i've ever saw it dirty mind you!!..nice reflections there Kevan

fai17 Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 nice work guys...anyone want to polish the Bamboo Block in return for a big shot gun?
colzo Posted June 4, 2008 Author Posted June 4, 2008 C WRX (sorry don't know your name mate) I know alot of products to use but I'm afraid of using the machine polisher (should really buy one and practise on a scrap wing or something). Really I want the bodywork perfect then maintain it to that standard. As I said I'm doing everything by hand at the moment and achieving good results, with a perfect canvas all I want is to keep it that way, so that is the next step. Obviously a machine polish is the way to go and any advice from PB or Iain would be greatly received. Here's a few pics of my engine, taken a while ago but it doesn't get much dirtier than this (need to drive the car more me thinks!).
mctwistuk Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 some nice shiny cars there guys. am loving the stainless stell grills on the hawkeye.
nkwrx Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 Colin, I'm embarrassed to lift the bonnet now, that is pretty special mate!! Hat well and truly doffed

Ah, never stop being impressed by that, tried it once (think it is scarier doing engine than machining bodywork!!) and got nowhere near that clean. My name is Colin by the way. Suppose getting the bodywork done then just looking after it will work well, you seem dedicated enough to make it happen.
