Big P UK300 Posted May 30, 2008 Posted May 30, 2008 Hi people I bought a set of Phillips blue vision bulbs but it seems very awkward and tricky to put them in ! Can anyone either recomend a garage or auto electrician that they have used in the west end of Glasgow , or fancy some beer money for giving me a hand to do it ? Cheers Paul
jamesm Posted May 30, 2008 Posted May 30, 2008 Not sure of the set up of the lights on the UK300, but on a standard bugeye, you simply cannot change the bulbs without taking the headlight unit out. Just a case of taking the screws out, unplugging it and lifting the unit out. Change over the bulbs and slot it back in. Time consuming, but pretty straight forward. From memory for mine, full instructions are set out in the handbook.

Changes bulbs on both sandard WRX and STI lights and it's much easier just to remove the headlight and then slot it back in. Prodrive ones are probably the same.. As james mentioned above.. 3 screws.. 2 at the front behind teh grille, and one at the top next to the wing. But there still oen more thing.. The's a peg about half way up the height of the headlight which fixes right into next to the wing It's a sod to get out first time but just be persistent and pull it will come out... Try not to damage any of the paintwork on the way out.. I've found it easier after the first time, especially when you see how it fits together..
