andy_bray Posted July 15, 2005 Posted July 15, 2005 << Sunday sounds better but I think I've too much on really so might try to get up sat AM also. Who's buying the Legacy then Andi? Anyone we know, are they a scoob fan and are they joining the legacy brotherhood >> Yes Jim dude my mate Martin is set to buy the old lady....... It will sad day when she gos... I will be up to have look at Jurby at the weekend...
Dave K Posted July 15, 2005 Posted July 15, 2005 Just seen the OMA scooby in Peel. Think he was the quickest car last year, so at least one scoob is running this weekend.
Cret Posted July 15, 2005 Posted July 15, 2005 Do you think the mirrors are folded in for less drag on the drag strip, or maybe it's just turned off or something?! Inside of mine is looking nice now the main carbon dash bits are in. See bottom of this thread for pic: Yeah, this one right here... Got the car washed and the inside emptied out & hoovered today. Horror of horrors though when washing off some huge big seagull turds they appear to have seriously damaged the paintwork beneath!!! Another reason why I hate those creatures and wish they were extinct. Got some Tcut but I don't think it'll really help.
andy_bray Posted July 16, 2005 Posted July 16, 2005 Good morning dudes , off to stratliners today .... May see you up there Dave dude... Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet and get my EOS 300d with its long lens on....
Boxer23 Posted July 16, 2005 Posted July 16, 2005 Morning dudes. The carbon items look great Jim. You have been working hard in Santa's grotto! Lol What's next off the production line? Also, I saw the OMA Impreza in Douglas the other day and it looks ready for race action. Any local Imprezas going to tkae it on? Dave, after spending all those spondoolicks getting 314bhp are you going to put it to use on the strip? It'd be rude not too....! (yawn)..tired, today. Got called into the Outback late last night to cover. I must be on 'Bouncer 911' speed-dial or something! lol
Cret Posted July 16, 2005 Posted July 16, 2005 Where were you then Andi? Wasn't great today admittedly but the OMA LEGACY was the business! Their impreza broke a driveshaft on its second run which was a shame. Mostly was just chavs in saxos though really.
Dave K Posted July 16, 2005 Posted July 16, 2005 Very nice job you've done on the interior Jim. You just can't stop him slap it on. Mmmmmmmmmmm now that's a tasty cheeseburger. lol And two local's stuffed it into each other aswell!
andy_bray Posted July 16, 2005 Posted July 16, 2005 Sorry dudes , I had a phone call to tell me that we have a viewing on the house, so that is why I was not there... Got the bill for the Leggy Jim dude and it was £445.....
dooahhdoo Posted July 16, 2005 Posted July 16, 2005 Couldnt attend either dudes as trying to get the car ready for away on Tuesday (fingers crossed this time). Also, not feeling too good as I have a chest infection and the quack gave me some antibiotics and some steroids which are keeping me awake and given me an extremely short temper Just waiting for the breasts to grow so that will cheer me up LOL
heazille Posted July 16, 2005 Posted July 16, 2005 << And two local's stuffed it into each other aswell! >> Within 100 yards of the exit as well!! Must have forgot to turn there Baseball Caps around Ta Ta Richard Sheriff of Scooby Island

andy_bray Posted July 17, 2005 Posted July 17, 2005 Good morning dudes , off to Jerby defo on viewing on the house.... Dave or Jim RU up there????
Cret Posted July 17, 2005 Posted July 17, 2005 Cheeseburgers!! Doubt I will be after all today. Feeling pretty nackered after going camping last night and getting eaten alive by ruddy insects. Touch of roid rage eh Nick? Better be careful to not turn into the incredible hulk if you get too mad dude.

andy_bray Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 Thanx Dave dude , That engine bay of yours is looking sweeeeeeeeeeeet M8.....You have done well on it ....
Cret Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 So did the Legacy get the quickest time of the cars for the weekend then? I hope it did! Shame not to be there actually. I went to the soapbox "racing" in Pt Erin and it was crap. Like watching paint dry. Should have gone back up the sprint.
heazille Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 << So did the Legacy get the quickest time of the cars for the weekend then? >> Indeed it did Jim 11.50 BUT, then it blotted it's copy book somewhat, Chosen to run in the sudden death run off (after 4 all, in the qualifiers) for the straightliners, missed a gear or two and got beaten by the Green Saxo Hence the Manxies won again
Cret Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 Real shame that it suffered such disgrace & shame but at least it was pilot error I suppose. Getting the quickest time of the weekend is quite impressive. Now I must save up hard and find out the spec......
Dave K Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 << Now I must save up hard and find out the spec...... >> You know you want a front mount just to get that sound.
Cret Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 You're damn right I want one! Unfortunately I won't have any spare money to play with for a very long time so anything I do over the next year or so probably will be limited to very low budget stuff.
