Help Please, Anyone Know This Car?

Looking for a project car as the girlfriend wont let me buy a new un, we're waiting on the new Scirocco instead! Saw this on PH and noticed it had a bit of promise, a lil rough around the edges but it wont see th outside of a workshop til at least next summer if its bought. Anyone know it?

Yeah its definately cheap. Dont mind the work thats needing done, car would most probably be resprayed silver like I had done with the wagon. Reckon I should snap his hand off, or is it too good to be true?

Looks a good buy for the money...

Only thing i find strange is i am from Clydebank and there isn't many Scoobs about yet i don't recognise this one... that said it could be that he has just moved etc etc, not saying there is anything dodgy just worth asking the history....
