Guest Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 Alright guys. My impreza badly needs the wheel alignment sorted out. I've only had it 3/4 weeks, and finally got some new tyres flung on it yesterday. Now, i was going to take it this afternoon to get the tracking sorted out, but i have a couple of questions. 1. Will a garage with a decent 4 wheel laser aligmnent rig straighten out my camber as well, as its all over the shop on the front, sitting positive on the nsf and negative on the osf. 2. Not being all that clued up on impreza's, and not having had much of a chance to look under it, how is the rear toe adjusted, is it just a similar style to the front, with a track control rod, obviously though, this one won't do any steering (unlike my old honda which was a nightmare to get tracked) 3. The car is lowered, to the point where a set of old fashioned tracking gauges won't fit between the top of the tyre and the arch very well. Do rigs like proalign fit in this manner, or do they somehow fit "inside" the wheel if you like, screwing out against the lip on the rim or something? Cheers in advance for any replies guys, hoping to get this sorted asap Oh yeah, and the reason i posted this in the scottish section, where in the glasgow area would do a good job of it? Cheers
thewelsho Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 (edited) There was a thread on this about a week ago. Click here to read it. The three companies discussed are: Kenny Brown - Hillington Estate Glasgow - £100+ Hypertech - Bonnybridge (Near Falkirk) - £55 (ish) ProGrip - Bonnybridge - £??? Edited May 20, 2008 by TheWelsho

Guest Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 Never thought of Kenny's actually, its only just up the road too. Going to The Garage over at Wishaw this afternoon, my mate's had all his drift cars looked after in there, Marc knows his stuff and when i spoke to him on the phone today he talked me through their equipment and what it does, 4 wheel toe, camber and castor adjustment and check for £75+VAT. So i'll report back later today and let you know how it goes! Cheers for the replies!
Joe1989 Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 I'v herded nothing but good things about kenny brown!
thewelsho Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 I'v herded nothing but good things about kenny brown! Well, his son drives successfully in Formula Ford and he is the lead mechanic. His business funds his son's exploits in the formula. So it's no wonder he's good!
thewelsho Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 Kenny used to rally didn't he? Dunno mate. Wouldn't be surprised if he did.
arch Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 The only place I take my race car is Progrip in Bonneybridge. Top quality work and a cracking guy as well.
