BrianD Posted May 19, 2008 Posted May 19, 2008 correct me if im wrong, but dont people wear sun glasses, due to the glare of the sun including police officers, maybe they should be banned too, the police havnt got nothing better to do than hit the motorist as they are an easy taget to give them more income Your not wrong
granby Posted May 19, 2008 Posted May 19, 2008 correct me if im wrong, but dont people wear sun glasses, due to the glare of the sun including police officers, maybe they should be banned too, the police havnt got nothing better to do than hit the motorist as they are an easy taget to give them more income Yes but 99% of people only wear sunglasses when it's sunny and not at night or in the rain when front tints do affect you vision (although i still liked having them )
col_2 Posted May 19, 2008 Posted May 19, 2008 Yes but 99% of people only wear sunglasses when it's sunny and not at night or in the rain when front tints do affect you vision (although i still liked having them ) i agree with you, but you still get drivers with really bright lights at night which blind your eyes, so it wouldnt be a bad thing if you could have light tints to stop the glare at night, ive had tints years ago on a car, & they didnt give me any problems night or day they made my vision better
shiralee Posted May 19, 2008 Posted May 19, 2008 i agree with you, but you still get drivers with really bright lights at night which blind your eyes, so it wouldnt be a bad thing if you could have light tints to stop the glare at night, ive had tints years ago on a car, & they didnt give me any problems night or day they made my vision better Hey if you are all happy and want to go ahead then I can speak to Warren see if he can do a group buy thing

pistonbroke2 Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 (edited) correct me if im wrong, but dont people wear sun glasses, due to the glare of the sun including police officers, maybe they should be banned too, the police havnt got nothing better to do than hit the motorist as they are an easy target to give them more income Police don't gain income from fining people. Sure, I'll admit that there are a few job pissed old bill, but we're not all like that. From experience, it tends to be the traffic division (white hats) that are usually the numpty's that think they know it all. Out of interest, how do you test the tint percentage on a window? I would challenge a copper in the street who told me a tint was too dark. Surely ambient light would affect the tint and there is no roadside test that I know of that would prove it. granby Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 i was under the impression they have a machine to test this ????????? Yes they do, they put a sensor against the window and it tells them what percentage of light is being let through
shiralee Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 Yes they do, they put a sensor against the window and it tells them what percentage of light is being let through As you know the wagon was full privacy glass all round I was stopped..(for other matters!!) and the windows were never an issue Must admit also spoilt the drive as was often worried about getting pulled in towns etc!! Not having a full tint on this one...I want to pose in full view now
