Car Troubles

well i went out to Aberdeen the day for my MIR scan on the way there the car was running fine till I got to a set of lights. the car felt very shuddery when on idle. I knew it did not feel right an when taken off it was like no power. it sounds like its running on 3 cylinders and the ECU lights flashing like mad. worst thing it I just got it serviced on Tuesday.

what should I do ????

Take it back to whoever serviced it.

booked in we mr forrest in may, he's a bussy man by the sound of it. the car was fine b4 service ( apart from over boost) i think it could b crap plugs bn put in. feels n sounds like its runnin on3

D'oh! Was though Dufftown a couple of times today as well... Oh well...

Does sound like somethign nasty is goign on... No boost and flashing CEL's means Safe mode.... I.e. get you home and get it serviced sort of thing...

theres boost but just no spark lol. guess ill just have 2 phone the garage first thing. think it might b the last time i put it there

Yeah.. naturally you'll get about 0.6bar of boost due to natural back pressure without the assitance of the wastegate, which is about 1/2 the boost that the STi delivers IIRC...

The ECU will basically leave the wastegate wide open to keep boost pressure as low as physically possible incase of problems...

Take it back mate, it might have been something the service centre did, like bugger up a coil pack or something. No need to run off to AF just yet. Get the prob sorted first.

i booked it in 2 week ago. just hope i get it sortted b4 the remap

hey every 1 thanks for the suport, took the car back to the garage all it that was wrong was a loose wire on one of the coils.
