Got Flashed On A Camera Last Night Or Did I ?

bit of a hard one and its doing my heqd in.was approaching some lights last nyt they were red then they changed to red and amber,so i went thru them when they were on red and amber and as i went thru a camera flashed me i wasnt speeding was wondering if its them ones that get you if you jump the lights but i didnt actually jump them they were red and amber about to go green must of just gone green as i passed through them did i get flashed or didnt i ??????????

yeah you proberly did get flashed they are for when you jump the lights

but i didnt jump them they were red and amber just about to change green i was approaching the lights and knew they were going green so didnt see the point in stopping for like asecond while they turned green would i get a fine or points and a fine or hope it doesnt have a film in it

That sounds abit unlucky

If they do send you a picture it will show what phase the lights were on!!

Look in the highway code book and it says

Red = stop

Red and Amber = get ready to move off

Green = go

so it sounds like you have a ticket on it's way to you m8

3 points and a fine mate

I got one years back but i went to court arguing the fact that if i braked for the lights it would have been dangerous and i got away with a warning, i was driving a flat bed van with machinery on the back

Think i was a lucky one though

my mate been flashed three times never come through so might be lucky i will appeal coz it turned green just as i went past it was doing about 15-20mph nobody coming other way so not as if anybody had to jump on brkes or anything we shall see

fingers crossed then m8 i know people who have been caught in traffic light cameras.. i belive you will hear in next 2 weeks if its the case

on another note I see 2 speedtraps in maidstone on a20 friday night.. crafty hiden police car with camera and 5 traffic cars tucked away down the road.... what i'd give for a big bucket of oil to lob down in front of the traffic cars and speed past the camera...

I'd heard that the authorities in Essex were always a bit keen to clamp down on offenders so you might well get a ticket coming your way. That might have been the infamous 'Granby Triangle' where all errant motorists get caught

Thats right Barry, as I found out couple of week after I got flashed coming out of Southend last year.
