only just read your thread so no need to shout.

my initial comment is that is the new ecu compatible with your model car? Bit difficult to diagnose, but i would say correct on the overfuelling with the 440's in as the ecu will be running injector duty for smaller injectors and will therefore overfuel.

send Petenofear a pm as he is in yeovil and has contacts at a subaru garage nearby.

Yes i'm in contact with pete and the garage he deals with.

It is the fault codes that i'm more worried about.

I thought 440cc injectors are standard items? As these are what my P1 runs as std setup.

Hope you get the problem sorted out soon buddy!

Apexi should cost around £500 and are a doddle to fit yourself (will probably need to swap the cam and crank sensor wiring-easy crimp job). I am in Somerset so for mapping I just met up with Simon from Jolly Green Monster at a service station near Bristol and he mapped it on the road for around £300.

I think the Subaru factory ecu's throw error codes far too readily and when you really have a problem they don't tell you.

Far more happy since I got an Apexi.

Thought it was a silly one!! Still learning about these cars myself.........after four years of ownership. So from what year can they be remaped without going down the apexi/piggy back ecu? I have an early V6 uk turbo.

96 and before can not be remapped it's either a chip, new ecu i.e apexi.

97 - 99 - Some say they can be remapped some say you can't so again either a new ecu Apexi or a esl board.

00 - onwards i believe are all remappable ????????????
