fai17 Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 I can assure you that they didn't have the 4wd rollers back in 1993, and the reason the car didn't go back to the dealers is that it was modified and Clanfords (the Ford dealers in 1993) would not entertain such a repair under warranty. Shame I have to explain this and people not taking an individuals word when all other points are taken on board. Don't worry about it Craig....
thefastone Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 Hey mate, It seems to me that you had already made up your mind about going to use them, so in that case, why did you come here and ask the question? don't get me wrong I'm NOT having a go, I'm just curious... When everyone pretty much unanimously tells you that they have used them, and would no so again, and tell you to avoid them... well that's the point of this... like Derek says, "Listen to the advice and don’t learn the hard way like some of us have!" am not 2 worryed most performance centers are poor with customers in my experiance and allot are up them selfs now this is something else, because you SHOULDN'T expect them to be arrogant, end of the day, they want YOUR money, Customer service is a KEY buisiness skill... without it any company deserve to go out of buisiness... I'm in the same place as Andy, Ive never used them, but if this many people (ford and Subaru) are saying don't go... I'd be inclined to go with the masses on that... And as for the comments made by GerUK, Sorry mate, I dont know you, but if someone asks an opinion they should expect to get an honest one, if someone on here has had good experiences with them then they will come forward.. just like everyone has done of the other business that have been mentioned here already... and there are business here that get good shouts every time, Hypertech, AWD Perth, Dastek, but to name a few... everyone that has come forward so far, have EXPERIENCE of the place, its not just bad press, and its not people just saying it... are you saying that EVERYONE is talking "bull****"?
GER UK Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 Yes mate your right you dont know me but whats that got to do with it. Also i never said that everyone is talking bull but some just jump on the band wagon and the companies that you have mentioned i have heard good things said about them in the past but i have also heard them getting slated on here and on other forums. But dont take what i said out of context as my point is people are of mixed opinion and the fact that they were recomended to him proves this
colin_ross Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 I don't see what the problem is here. Someone posts up asking for an opinion and loads of people have given it. If they have used them then thats fine, if it's something they heard as long as they say then thats fine too. There's no bandwagon to jump on here. If all the feedback is bad (or good) then the OP has his answer. Reputation is everything in this game and rightly so.
AlanG Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 My tuppence here and i'm not taking any sides! They've been in their premises for at least 20 years and still in business. Before that they were in Clydebank..... They must be doing something right!

As Pete says don't worry about it, i certainly didn't mean you were making it up, i just thought maybe you picked em up wrong or they were pulling you leg as they can be very sarcastic. B4z, good luck m8, as i said earlier fitting a fcd is really easy so they won't have a prob. Johnny Edited March 28, 2008 by JohnnyR6

Joe G Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 I was at ava a few months back with my scoob just to go on the rollers. Ended up coming out with the CEL on. They couldn't even get the fault codes up!!! I had to do it when i went home as they said they had another booking for the rollers! Plus i personally thought the cooling in the place was crap. Each to their own i suppose but i aint going back there!!!!
