merrst Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 Any one know how i can find out when or if my membership has expired, If it has expired how much is it for renewal cheers mark
edmondo Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 You could contact shescooby (membership secretary) to see when renewel is due - Jacqui thinks that she can remember you paying at a show last year either action day or japfest! Renewel is £30 and can be got through online shop on here or by post - Check your membership card as well as it has expiry date on the bottom of it.

merrst Posted March 20, 2008 Author Posted March 20, 2008 so should i have sids member next to my name on the avator. cheers mark
edmondo Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 Just aswell somebody remembers, now i know why sidc give you a car tax holder. i was thinking where have put my card, then i remebered it was in the damn car. how stupid. oh yes, its 03/07/08 Ok, step 1 - Contact Andy the admin guy on here and give him these details with your username and he will be able to validate your sidc online users account to member (gives you a little sidc member sign under your name) Step 2 - Once this has been done go to shop at top of page and follow instructions on on how to purchase japfest tickets - be careful as there are 2 types one with stand pass and one without. Before you can go buying you will need to set up a buying account which requires your sidc membership number so have your card to hand. Step 3 - Choose the tickets/products you wish to purchase and then go to checkout and buy.

scooby princess Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 Membership is a personal descision. SIDC Mum doesnt even have a scooby! She is a fully paid up member who i hope am right in saying enjoys being able to attend shows and meets with friendly and warm people. She loves to support the region group and puts alot of effort into sourcing raffle prizes etc. Commitment like that is extremely rare. I fully appreciate where Ben is coming from and i Can only thank him for his support over this last year - I for one will not hold it against you mate - you know you are always welcome at any local meet even if the car is safely locked away for now.
kevlorn Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 mine runs out tomorrow ,had email today ,doubt i'll be renewing the only thing i use it for is getting onto club stands at shows.....alot of extra money just to do that imo....plenty of other ways of getting onto a stand at shows....

kevlorn Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 look at it this way.ive paid 30+ ££ extra to go to 2 shows so far in a year,,thats £15 plus the tickets for each show...ive not used it for anything else...i'm not bothered about anything else, just like attending the shows.....................its sad that you have to be a member to go to shows ...and be on the SIDC stand and support the club..............just my opinion, not causing any ill feeling..

kevlorn Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 yh i agree, members get first dibs.....no probs with that...just that it has cost me £30+ to get on a stand...and the last one was worth a tenner.. pmsl(rally day)......

Bailey73 Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 Im happy paying the membership and in the first year saved myself over £100 from the SIDC discount - worth the pennies in my opinion.
