You could contact shescooby (membership secretary) to see when renewel is due - Jacqui thinks that she can remember you paying at a show last year either action day or japfest!

Renewel is £30 and can be got through online shop on here or by post - Check your membership card as well as it has expiry date on the bottom of it.

Ok,

step 1 - Contact Andy the admin guy on here and give him these details with your username and he will be able to validate your sidc online users account to member (gives you a little sidc member sign under your name)

Step 2 - Once this has been done go to shop at top of page and follow instructions on on how to purchase japfest tickets - be careful as there are 2 types one with stand pass and one without. Before you can go buying you will need to set up a buying account which requires your sidc membership number so have your card to hand.

Step 3 - Choose the tickets/products you wish to purchase and then go to checkout and buy.

My membership is due for renewal also, but i doubt it be renewd this year as i wont save money, unless i decide to change the tires while its locked up or get discount on buying servicable items?

Monki.

Membership is a personal descision.

SIDC Mum doesnt even have a scooby! She is a fully paid up member who i hope am right in saying enjoys being able to attend shows and meets with friendly and warm people. She loves to support the region group and puts alot of effort into sourcing raffle prizes etc. Commitment like that is extremely rare.

I fully appreciate where Ben is coming from and i Can only thank him for his support over this last year - I for one will not hold it against you mate - you know you are always welcome at any local meet even if the car is safely locked away for now.

look at it this way.ive paid 30+ ££ extra to go to 2 shows so far in a year,,thats £15 plus the tickets for each show...ive not used it for anything else...i'm not bothered about anything else, just like attending the shows.....................its sad that you have to be a member to go to shows ...and be on the SIDC stand and support the club..............just my opinion, not causing any ill feeling..

spaces are finite for stands so why shouldn't club members have first shout as they have paid the mighty sum of £30............personally I dont mind paying that princely sum every year to help towards the running the club.

i hear what your saying ed , but when you can just use a forum on other clubs and still be able to do show stands and they dont have the masses of members like sidc you got to wonder .

yep I hear you mate - I have no answer as I am just an ordinary memeber - perhaps if you aim that query at Phil / Wimpy / Kaz they might be able to explain it.

Im happy paying the membership and in the first year saved myself over £100 from the SIDC discount - worth the pennies in my opinion.
