scooby princess Posted April 27, 2008 Author Posted April 27, 2008 Blimey - talk about walking loads this weekend! This is the Lake i walked around today at Wellington Country park Did enjoy it though and it has made me think about where locally i can take the dog for a long walk in the evenings as we have some local lakes very close by. 1st thing i need to do is buy some better shoes to wear as my feet kill as i was wearing flat shoes with hardly any ankle support and the left one had no heal!!!!
scooby princess Posted May 7, 2008 Author Posted May 7, 2008 Well i thought i would give you a 7 week review - Yep thats how long it has been since i started this diet! Just been weighed and i am over the moon with the result but it has thrown some questions to the original scales and the weight! When i 1st wrote this i was told i was 25.5 stone but looking back over the weigh ins we (thats me and ed) think the g.p got it WRONG and it should have read 23.5 stone! Here's the reason why...... March 19th - This thread started with what we believe is wrong weight March 27th - Weighed for tooth op and weighed in at 22.9 stone (nearly 3 stone lost in a week - MUST be wrong) May 8th - Weighed in at 19.5 stone after 6 WEEKS of good exercise (somerset stages etc!), trauma (tooth extraction and work issues), and smaller potions of better food. I feel that is a more realistic weight lost. Whatever the start i know that i have lost weight, even if i start the lose from when i had my tooth out and im damn proud of myself cause for the 1st time in years im under 20 stone and fit into smaller jeans.........

stinger Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 well done Jaqui. A long time ago i lost a lot of weight and kept most of it off for nearly 20 years. As you already know, losing weight and keeping it off is about lifestyle. One thing that really helped me along the way (i was dieting for a year!!!) was to set realistic targets and if you've met them dont be afraid to treat yourself. After all when you have finished you arent going to be wanting to eat celery for the rest of your life . I remember predicting my weight for Christmas in September and i was a pound out so i let myself have a proper dinner. It really gave me a sense of achievement! Keep going, i know you can do it because YOU want to!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

scooby princess Posted May 11, 2008 Author Posted May 11, 2008 Well as it was nice today i encouraged ed to join me by taking the dog up to our local resivour for a walk. Yes we used the car to get there but that was to introduce the dog to riding in the car etc but we spent a good hour walking her around coate water. She even had her 1st swim in the resivour!
scooby princess Posted May 11, 2008 Author Posted May 11, 2008 Right then you lot, im getting tough! All those who have said they will support and have done with such great responses i would like another favour! At japfest i will have sponsorship forms on me as well as every other meet and event as well and so i would like to as you all once again....... Who would be willing to sponsor me for this event? As you can see i have already lost quite a bit of weight so now i feel a new target should be set! So my NEW target weight is going to 18 stone - not much some say but with the amount i have already lost it will start to slow down and i want to set an achievable goal so i dont get disheartened! If you are willing to sponsor me please start a list here, I was going to do a just giving page but that would only go to national charity and not the local region to which i would like to give back to due to both the help recieved with both edmondo and my late father.
SIDC Mum Posted May 11, 2008 Posted May 11, 2008 I will start the ball rolling for you darling. 1.S.I.D.C. Mum - 20p a lb that you lose plus x amount for the amount you have lost already

Sam B Posted May 22, 2008 Posted May 22, 2008 SP I'd love to be able to sponsor a £ for a lb but the bank wont allow it, I'm with Mum, 20p per lb. It will soon add up, and the boots will come in handy for the next Rally too !
