Now why do I have to steer aroudnd about 15-20 pot-holes on my way to work every morning!!!! I'd rather pay a added tax that will sort out the roads than pay silyl taxes that have lead to crap roads and a possible huge repair bill for me if I hit one of the soddin things!

You have to steer around the potholes because the road tax isn't really a raod tax, that's just another con. Can't remember the exact figures but I heard a report of Radio 5Live stating that only a small percentage of the money gleaned from road tax actaully goes back into the roads. Besides that, why is it called Road Tax anyway? If its a penalty for CO2 emmissions (harmless BTW!) then why not call it "Green Tax". The whole thing is utterly farcical and serves only to show that we as a country are run by halfwits - pure and simple.

makes my blood boil how if the government wants extra money for anything its effective straight away but if the public is due any money back it takes at least twelve months the robbing c**ts.like ive said before the sooner there is a general election the better then we can get rid of this joke of a so called government. :(B)<_<;):D

As i've said before Alistair Darling is ANTI MOTOR CAR people. You will notice that they are taxing heavy polluters but not actually spending the money on other alternatives. He said that he'll be spending the latest hikes on young people and pensioners.Pensioners i have no problems with but spending money on wee buckie drinking neds who are the type who will nick and vandalise our cars i do have a problem with.At the end of the day though both groups will probably never see any of it.A general election would not change a thing we would still be taxed to the max.
