p1ggm Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 Hi mate, How much for a polish -whole car? depends on how bad it is, usually 30-50 quid and a bacon roll , i just cover my costs really.
tommo9375 Posted March 13, 2008 Author Posted March 13, 2008 Might take you up on that once the weather gets better,Bought a Meguiars(not sure how to spell it) Cleaning kit the other day and used the clay-bar and wax - top product ,well impressed with the wax!!
p1ggm Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 yeah megs clay and tech wax is good stuff, i like them,
tommo9375 Posted March 13, 2008 Author Posted March 13, 2008 (edited) Did my VW Touran with the wax today,it's a 2006 model in metaillic grey and looked like new when i was finished, will definently be buying more of the Megs products. Edited March 13, 2008 by tommo9375
scouk Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 (edited) The Megs Polisher get's my vote... Bought one as it first came out but only recently started using it due to the nicer weather.. The guys at Polished Bliss are definately reccomended! Good advise and great products & even better service if you get them to do the job for you!.. The machine is easy to use, so no harm done... Biggest tip is to take it easy, don't try taking the paint off or else you will! But these orbital polioshers like the Porter Cable are generally easy and safe to use if your being sensible! Not finsihed my car yet.. only done a coupel of panels so far.. Can't wait to get the sides and bonnet done! I know... any excuse to post shiny photos Edited March 13, 2008 by ScoUK
tommo9375 Posted March 13, 2008 Author Posted March 13, 2008 Looks good mate ,where did you buy the polisher from?
scouk Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 Looks good mate ,where did you buy the polisher from? Polished Bliss (naturally) Had it on back order for when it was released
C_WRX Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 Dedication in the hunt for perfection when you take the spoiler off ! Good work though.
scouk Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 Dedication in the hunt for perfection when you take the spoiler off ! Good work though. Wasn't quite that order... Took the spoiler off to try and fix a squeak I was getting from it over small bumps.. Made sense to clean the boot lid at the same time.. Results? Shiny boot lid but the squeak still exists... Grrrr! But it would make sense to take that spiler off as getting access is otherwise a pain in the butt..
