04 Sti Front Splitter

Hi Guys,

Just banged the front splitter on the car this morning and bust it, anyone got any ideas of whats the best replacement one to get???

Yeah, leave it off. They look great, but impractical for use thanks to the muppets who sit on the "road's council" and decide to build speed humps the size of mountains. Idiots!!!!!!!!!1

Definately leave it off too much hassle, as john says too many speed mountains on the road.

I split mines in the middle, bought filler from halfords and spend hours filling rubbing then repainted whole splitter in gloss black, it looked brand new again.

For a week when i caught a kerb

so removed it for good.

Same for me too, though I haven't removed it yet. I attempted it today and realised it was more hassle the the remaining light would allow. Weather permitting - it's off tomorrow.

Bad luck mate. I have the original (expensive) Subaru STI Splitter and have had no probs what so ever after being on the car for 2 years. Went for that particular one after hearing too many horror stories of the cheaper ones breaking.

I attempted to take mine off yesterday and realised it was a bigger job than I had anticipated. So its still stuck on there all smashed up and taking the look right off of my car!

Hi Guys,

I am off this week, tried to take it off yesterday and gave up after the 10th slice in my hands, just leaving for Duns where I can get the use of a lift, much easier when the cars in the air and you can see what your doing! I think we should all get on to our councils and tell them that the bumps in the road are a good idea in certain areas - but they don't need to be the size of fekkin mountains.

From what I see they must cost thousands of pounds for us car nuts - Lets sue the gets!!!
