UK300_loon Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Hi, Anybody know of a good place in the Aberdeen area to get my allignment done? Was recommended MH Engineering out in Banchory but they are out of business. Has anyone moved into their old premises? Would be looking to get the Prodrive settings dialled in for starters. cheers Alan.

I think MH Engineering have now moved out to Inverurie ?

UK300_loon Posted February 1, 2008 Author Posted February 1, 2008 just phoned Town & County, 1 1/2 hrs so that'll be £99 + VAT......for allignment!! now I remember why I don't go near main dealers. They have to book a ramp at the Porsche garage, but its not a Porsche I've got, lol. think I'll give Wallace Performance another try.
RA Dunk Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 details of discount found here http://forums.sidc.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=76180
UK300_loon Posted February 1, 2008 Author Posted February 1, 2008 aye, I had forgot to ask the first time round just phoned them back though, no discount for SIDC members when getting allignment done unfortunately, still £99+VAT. With the money saved by going to Wallace Performance, I'll get my membership paid and half a tank of V-power, lol. Al.

UK300_loon Posted February 1, 2008 Author Posted February 1, 2008 It was Wallace who last done my allignment about 10 months ago, was dealing with a really sound bloke who had a tidy STi version 3 and seemed to know his Scoobs inside out. Had my car nicely hooked up. From memory he went slightly more aggressive than the Prodrive settings. Here's a link to the relevant web page, slight difference in price you'll see....... clicky thingemy
RA Dunk Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 not too bad on prices i see, was your car handling well last time you got it done?
UK300_loon Posted February 1, 2008 Author Posted February 1, 2008 as well as a UK300 on standard shocks can, lol. Definately transformed the car, and for only £50! The settings were a fair bit off before he got started so no wonder I noticed such a difference. Going to get myself into the habbit of doing this twice a year along with my oil changes as general hard driving/potholes etc can easily knock things out of whack in time.
